Just wondering whether they are worth buying or would one be better off with a tier 8 premium tank.

I mean on standard account btw.

Honestly go a tier 8.

My flate mate has one and on a non-premium account he makes on average 10 to 12K.

He also can make that in his KV.

Forgot to say that is before repair and refit.

if you dont want to pay for tier 8 go for the Ram-II it still makes good money

I can make 10k easily in a KV.

Seems Churchill or Matilda is the best tier V premium tank around.

Tier 8 premium is so expensive and I never know when WoT is going to continue or whether how much longer my interest will hold if no new modes are forthcoming.

I'd rather spend the money to buy a whole new PC game honestly.

It's not the money as I just spent some on Razer Blackwidow Ultimate keyboard and Razer Vespula premium mouse pad. It's the value out of the money.

Just use the KV dude.

Much better tank and it costs you nothing.

I bought the Churchill last night just because I wanted it. I thought it looked kinda neat. Sure, it's a couple tiers down from my mains, but it's fun to play in some lighter battles. The 6-pounder isn't a one-hit killer, but with the rammer (that only costs 200k on this tank) it fires a shot every 2-seconds which wreaks havoc on light tanks. 140 rounds of ammo, and I'm a happy camper. It's SLOW. Acceleration is poor, turn speed is slow. This tank works best away from hills.

I'm a premium but with wins with several kills I was averaging 10-14k a round. Repair was dirt cheap, re-arming even cheaper. I think I did both in a match I died in for about 2500. If you want the Churchill, don't depend on it as a money maker, but more of a novelty tank just to play around in. I don't intend to take this tank seriously in my play, but do have fun with it. If you want to generate a lot of credits per round, buy a Hummel SPG. I think on a good round I clear well over 30k.  :Smile-izmena:

I own a Churchill (as you may of guessed) and 1 usually make anywhere from 10k to 20k in an average game and sometimes up to 30k. Even if you kill yourself without doing anything you will still make like 5k haha.  Its also really good for exp. On one of the 5x bonus weekend i made over 11k EXP in my first win, destroying 5 tanks. The tank is beast and people whosay otherwise probably dont know how to play it well and just want a heavy like the KV.

I have one and its a nice earner maybe with a good amount of damage on the enemy I can get 15k, the rammer is evil making shots fast and its tough even if clunky. But I wanted to note the MM is kind to the Matilda and this tank I most of the time get matches in the tiers four to six range and usually four and five more likely. You need to win for the most credits and MM placement matters to. A KV can meet anything Tiers well over not unlikely from what I can tell.

The churchill has the highest credit multiplyer of all the premium tanks accourding to overlord.

But it also has the worst matchmaking of all the premium tanks.

You will regularly be dumped in matches where the gun is about as effective as tossing rocks.

Aye the match maker can some times put you against T-59s, Lowes and Tiger IIs and at times does so with gusto and as mentioned then your 6lber is a door dinger.  But you can still rip a KV a new one given time, light tanks fall before you thanks to the sheer volume of decent AP shells you can spew out and mediums have to be very wary.  You can even rough a Tiger up if you get behind it and hammer away like mad into its ass and flank.

The latest MM chart shows the Churchill never faces tier 8 tanks, maybe it did before that I have no idea but as of this patch it only faces tier 7 tops (unless its platooned of course). I've seen some good Churchill drivers who have turned this tank into a complete machine gunning beast, but I've seen many more bad ones than good ones. Definitely seems to have a unique look and play style.

I own a Churchill and am up to 560+ battles it earns ok creds and is cheap to repair and restock this tank with the rammer and camo is prolly the best sniper in the game as it has superior accuracy at long range and yes it tends to be a door dinger, i have scared many a tier 7 away from my battle mates simply by hitting him unmercilessly, plus i plan on getting all 3 skills done and using the crew in my tier 10 russian heavy when i get one, then i will re crew it and start over, on a side note i made 95k creds and 2900xp recently on the el al a main special! with mm lately it is a 50% top of the tier tank in battle and the rest middle of the pack.  again excellent long range sniper and td killer! easy hits at 390-560 meters, on target every time, damage another story but damage, any damage makes better creds and exp for you anyways, my number one exp generator for conversion, i also own the type 59 excellent money maker there! if you want a none prem tier 5 money tank then fully dress out a m4 Sherman you wont be disappointed!

Dont forget one of the coolest feature of a premium tank is you can train crews. My kv5 has train all my Russian heavy crews while I make money. You do not have to retrain them to work in the premium. For example I have a 50% IS crew. I simply move the IS crew into my KV-5 (leaving them trained for the IS) and play battles training them. Once they are at 100% I have lots of money and 100% IS crew.

Sadly, the tears you collect while ripping thru lowbies with your almost autocannon are not measured the same way credits are.

How can you put a value on the lamenting of your victims in your wake?
