We’re working to adjust Frontline to wheeled vehicles and swift Light Tanks. Changes will be rolled out to a separate cluster for testing. Should they work out, we’ll introduce them for all other clusters.
 

For Random Battles, there are not enough stats for top-tier wheeled tanks yet. We’ll continue gathering them and watch closely how the battle duration and wheeled vehicles ratio in battles change. The SPG rebalances in 9.18 taught us to accurately measure the response of different audience segments (in-game behaviour and stats) and approach each change iteratively. Now we have a sound monitoring system that allows us to track how wheeled vehicles perform in-game and how they affect gameplay overall. Should there be an imbalance, we’ll step in to fix it.

 

Wheeled vehicles won’t get nerfed until we gather enough stats to prove it’s necessary. The charge mechanics will not be brought back.

Get rid of wheeled tanks. 

Stop introducing ANY tanks (or buffs) that have effects even 1/4 as badly as wheeled tanks. 

 

WG, your track record sucks.

-Exhibit A:  the E-25.

-Exhibit B: the Chrysler GF. 

-Exhibit C: top-tiering light tanks (even auto-loaders) badly unbalanced MM.  -3 MM for LTs was slanted, but just -2 WITHOUT top tier would have kept them as LIGHT tanks.  Now, they're not LTs when top-tiered, they're played as well-hidden mediums.    

-Exhibit D: wheeled tanks (way too much speed, way too much durability, way too fast an aiming system, way too much DPM, and way too much pen on their HE).

There was not an aiming system in the 1960 for tanks that worked as fast as they are portrayed on this wheeled vehicles.  And from the French no less.  Okay have these non-track vehicles (even though it was a said at the beginning "no wheeled vehicles" even as half-tracks), but how could they accurately shoot with multiple penning shots, moving that fast?  Did you introduce laser guidance?

They should have left the top Light Tanks at tier V - the AMX ELC, Chaffee, VK2601, T-50-2, Crusader...

 

And instead of changing the Crusader to a Medium, found a way to buff it in a way to keep it in line with the other Tier V Light Tanks, which had +5MM...

Anything would be better than how the game is now. 

 

Entire team is spotted when we've moved one grid from spawn areas on even the largest of maps.  Zero strategy/tactics happen when that keeps going on.

That said, it does get pretty ludicrous when you have a full bonds Rhm Pzw, with Improved Vents, Optics, Binoculars, Food, and crew skills, spotting people at 445m even with decent camo on their tanks...  Whilst the tank is almost the size of the Leopard 1, it's also utilizing the maximum base view range of all tanks (420m)...

My biggest gripe with wheeled vehicles is leading them. I get that yall at WG are trying to compete with the realism of War Thunder, but when I lead these French lights the way I would an American LT, the T49 for example, a shot that would have tracked the T49 at the very least, whizzes harmlessly through the tires of the French LT. This isn't a random occurrence either. It happens every damn time. You want to keep the wheeled vehicles in the game? Fine. Give them similar characteristics to other light tanks. I've got a better chance at tipping over a TOG than I have at hitting your damn wheeled vehicles.

Clown Cars

 

Among the many things that makes WOT interesting to me is the balance between quasi real physics regarding the mechanical operation of tanks in the game.. Now of course in the real world tanks rarely sustain anything like the damage they do here and have the crews survive..  It also takes 20 min to an hour or more to fix a broken track under the best of conditions. So artificialities are understood..

BTW (Please have crewmen wounded/injured not killed.. that whole "resurrection thing" for crewman is a bit odd and this would seem to be an easy fix.)

 

OK so we have Clown Cars right now..  They defy the laws of physics.. they defy gravity   they with steel rims and rubber tires can drive thru rock walls with impunity.  Nooooo..... please just stop..  Any Crewmen of a Wheeled Clown car that drove cross country like Porches at Le Mans would kill themselves in short order. They physically could not sustain the strain of such maneuverings.The vehicles themselves could not perform the acrobatics they do here the game.

 

Now  of course .. WOT is going to "Fix: the problem"   

 

I submit that part of the FIx should be the addition of 12.7 mm  or .50 cal MG to our tanks.. Unless a Clown Car was stationary and or at longer range.. We would be unlikely to fool with them using the main gun. We would simply lead them by a bit and let them drive thru a stream of Armor Piercing Incendiary Tracer from our Ma Duce.. Or Russian 12.7... This would set them on fire and  killi the Crew no muss no fuss.....  Now if we could do this.. wheeled vehicles would quickly become Light Scouts which is a proper role and much more realistic. .. only using their Guns to defend themselves before and as  they run away like the little Wheeled BunnyMobiles they are..

Seems like someone doesn't like the new vehicles.. 

It's a video game, deal with it. 

Adding another nation of wheeled-vehicles would be nice., the more the better.

In a nutshell, in the right hands, a wolf pack of wheelies makes an old school wolfpack of Types look ez.  Cry and whine all you want about Arty or Russian bias, these wheelies are right there as a Public Enemy Number One candidate.
