That is not something that is exclusive to blowouts.  It is also true of the losing teams in general.  Weaker players end up on losing teams more often.   It's statistically inevitable,.   Are you saying you want to eliminate winning and losing as well?  everyone gets 50:50?

yeah that's what in essence he's saying. Participation trophy for everyone

I can say one thing for certain-sure: DaRock never fails to amuse.

I'm laughing so hard right now...!

There's a difference between a good player who has 'stopped learning' the game and a player who has never started to learn it.

Thank you for providing a chart that showed why you think those MM provided don't happen for everyone.    In fact they don't happen for the top players as often as they happen for newbies and less-skilled, the ones who populate those matchups way more often.

That's a pretty clear picture of what you saw, isn't it?      Looks like the Sure Things (unbalanced matchups) aren't a HUGE part of the WoT you experienced over >4k battles, but they obviously are part of your enjoyment.

Let's see if you can prove that you know what that chart means.

  1. which players' statistics are responsible for the bell shape of the curve?  i.e. out of the 30 player slots that occupy every team (29 selected by the MM and 1 for the individual) which one(s) determine bell shaped pattern?   Not where they fall on the chart, just the overall shape?
  2. which player statistics are responsible for where the average (or peak) of that curve is, and by extension how many battles fall above 50% and how many below?

I'll take any silence or refusal to answer those questions as admission on your part that you have absolutely zero clue what you are talking about.  I will continue to ask you these questions every time you post that chart, until you answer them.  So what will it be?  Will you show everyone how much you really do know, or just continue talking out of your [edited]?

Anyone wanna bet he won't answer?

Too bad top players don't see those battles as often as the players who fill the majority of slots on those two unbalanced teams.    If top players saw them more often, their WRs would be more awesome and overwhelming.   And it would be much clearer to everyone how screwed the MM is, and who that screwing benefits.

Top players like yourself don't see as many of those gifts as newbies and less-skilled for a very simple reason.    There are 2-3 times as many weaker players in them as there are top players.    It's very much like the reason tier8 players see so many bottom tier battles in the 3-5-7 templates WG has recently cut back.

Once again, you're confused by how stats work.  You're looking at an individual battle and trying to extrapolate how MM treats players based on the players in that battle, rather than tracking players individually to see how MM treats them.

I think everyone or almost everyone  is just  so beaten down by this game they are demoralized and have all but given up, I know that's where I'm at, when a 5-minute battle makes you feel overwhelmed and you just want it to be over because the last  20 5-minute battles have been soul crushing it  just takes all the fun away.

He never does. The saddest part of it all is there are soooo many people on this forum just as ignorant as Rock.

I don't get the rigging complaints, why would they bother to single out your account to make you suffer?

Not that I necessarily agree that WG rigs games, but to play Devil's Advocate I'd say that by WG rubbing people's faces in the pile of feces that passes for pub matches, they incentivize many players to buy premium time, gold to convert XP, premium tanks, etc. Sure, WG will run some players off by doing this, but those are the casual players who will probably never sink money into the game. That's not who WG really wants playing.

what do you find so bad about pub matches?  if anything the lastest MM changes has baan a massive improvement over 3-5-7.  the amount of top tier and even tier games i have been playing since it came out has made tier 8 playable again.  so i am curious what you dont like

It seems like time for some statistical analysis on our regular posters...

Average posts per day

Average # of words typed per day, per week, per month...per poster.

Comparisons of average wpm vs posters typing skills.

Shouldn't take long...hell, I've certainly spent as much time collecting battle data

Inquiring minds want to know!

The fact that so many matches aren't remotely competitive, one way or another. Just because something has improved, doesn't mean it's good, in the same way that being taller than Danny DeVito doesn't mean I'm tall.

In b4 "WG has said they're never making a skill based MM. Even in CW teams get face rolled." I don't care. The excuses are stupid. At the end of the day, this is a leisure time activity for all of us, which means it's supposed to be fun. For the majority of players, fun = competitive. Can you imagine if parity was so bad in the NBA that 50% of games ended in a score of 98-17, or worse? The league would fold within years. No one wants to watch that crap. I think the server stats that show weekly players trending consistently downward for years would support that argument.

One reason you don't see 98-17 scores is both teams start with unicums.      None of the teams field newbies or even 'tomato' level players.

And most importantly

None of the teams ignore skill when choosing their lineup.
