It seems after the initial cacophony of pining and keening that people have figured out how to kill them and/or negate their impact. Thoughts?

Their tank curve still shows them OP.

At this stage, they are still wrong for this game.  Maps are way to small.  Maybe a couple more years down the road WG will figure this out and do something drastic like they did with the Type 59, back in the day.

I don't see them as much anymore, never bought into the hype to begin with.  WOT players are like medieval villagers scared by "magic", every little change in the weather sends them into a frenzy of fear that the world is coming to an end.

Not sure about OP as most I see just die quickly with a very few good players playing smartly.

I am seeing less and having a lot of success killing them with like tier lights and meds. Trying to lead them wasn't working for me so I went active and had a lot more success locking on and chasing them. Finally saw one base camping and sniping, that didn't take long.

They are annoying more than anything. In the hands of a skilled driver they rack up massive assist damage though....same as they would in any other light tank. So they dont bother me at all.

The biggest issue with them is on maps like malinkova where the spawn points are in near direct view of eachother, and wheeled lights will spot you 3 seconds into the round at which point heavy tanks are essentially sitting ducks to enemy fire until they can reach solid cover of the eastern hill.

Or is it western.... Nvm you know what I mean

I've been playing tier viii meds exclusively and it seems I'm seeing less of them or some battles none at all.It seems the cars have run there course from what I can tell.

You play mostly slow tanks. I can see how you would feel this way.

And it takes like 30 seconds for arty to initially load their ammo.... That's enough time to get out of their lines of fire.

I am not wanting to split hairs here, but the aim-lock in the client is not illegal.

First it's not OBVIOUSLY not illegal.

Second it's not an aim bot, it literally just gives them a slightly better ability to autolock a target and really has little effect.

If you want to whine about something it's their on the move accuracy that's the biggest problem with them.

I agree. For ME .. .MY OPINION ... they ruined Frontline and now ruined Random matches.    I would take 5 arties per side over the higher tier wheeled tanks.

Maybe it's just me, but I play a lot of tier 8 -10 and I don't feel like they are OP. I feel like most of the time I see the wheeled vehicles, they are the first to die and often in the first minute. Occasionally, you'll get a really good player or someone who gets lucky and they can dominate, but in my experience that's the exception. I feel like a lot of the players with the tier 9 and tier 10 EBR tanks are really skilled players and that skews the perception a little.

To drive those wheeled vehicles, u need serious skills. Every straight line u do while driving will end up with u dead. I actually find the tier 6-7 useless since there is no big difference in speed compare to the other lights and u can get rapped pretty easily. I find the premium tier 8 cancerous tho. That auto-loader is LITERALLY a pain in the [edited].

In my opinion they really are useful if u know how to use them. I usually quick spot in the beginning and stay back at the 3rd line spotting close targets for TDs or sneaking behind the enemy lines to kill the self-propelled guns if there are any.

I do believe that wg should release more open maps in the future. If other nation's wheeled vehicles are gonna be introduced in the game I think it is a must.
