We all know how good mobility is in frontlines as we have seen it all iterations up until this point.  Mostly, I've played mobile vehicles, lights, spaghetto, t-44-100, lorraine 40t; all have my staple for the adventure.

Last night on defense after all the zones were captured, objective 1 and 5 were both destroyed, I decided to switch it up and play the TS-5.  Honestly other than defense and in/near the city or choke points I can't see it being really effective, but boy was it effective in defending people from crossing the bridge to objective 3 and clearing out tanks trying to get side shots on objective 4.  That thing is a monster if you can keep the enemies in front of you, especially at this point in the game when attackers just seem to keep showing up in the same spots/lanes trying to get to objectives.  I couldn't believe how quickly I want from major to general at this point.

Has anyone else had any vehicles stick out to them that aren't the typical "go-to"?

Right now the TS-5 is one of my favorite tanks to play in FL.  I love using it on offense at C keeping the mediums and heavies over by the flag from being able to get set up and comfortable on D around the flag.  Major downside is getting flanked which happens, so I usually spent time trying to pick off their TDs and lights that are on the right side.  On other parts of the map I tend to play it like a heavy but I have to be careful.

I also love playing my Chrysler K and Defender when I am capping/defending the flags.

I pulled my tech tree t44 out last night and had a blast. A lot of Progetto players got cocky, expended the whole clip and payed the price. Also have regularly been using my KV5 (Spall liner, repair kit, torsion bar) for the eventual push on C with a lot of success.

I have had some good moments in FL playing the TS-5. Main line up is:

Progetto 46, Loraine 40t, HWK 30 and LT-432

But I like playing TS-5, Skorpian, Chrysler K and Defender also.

If it's dug in there's nothing Tier VIII can do besides go around or drop a lot of arty on it. But it can easily wind up out of action/rank earning and is dead meat if caught in the open by anything fast.

Vk100.01p if your down to your last tank and want to waste time before dying and needing to wait on a re spawn.  By the time you make it anyplace you'll have another tank up, never mind it's pretty troll if you can cap with it.

My attempts to use the TS-5 have been dismal failures.  I must be using it wrong.

AT-15 early base cap. At first defenders consider you insane, then they discover that it is resistant to autoaim quickly followed by realisation of how unhealthy it is to be under fire by high RoF tank fixated on dealing damage while permatracking them.

Another non-standard could be UDES/Strv... on offense against Objectives. Their absurd penetration allows you to take shots at turrets from otherwise impossible angles. Quite usefull against "perfect" defense at #5, I just parked somewhere on field between #4 and #5, and spammed geld at objective side at high angle. Skorpion tried same when he saw it, but it had not enough penetration.

Playing out of meta machine can throw enemies off.

TS 5 is good attacking zone C, where there is enough cover to protect sides and LFP.  The only issue is moving up to another zone, it takes forever unless you hold J for a while and re spawn as another tank.

The TS-5 is taking time to grow on me, but it is a tough nut to crack if it's placed right.  Attacking/defending the Bridge in Zone C is one of those places to be sure.  Dropping arty on it is about the best answer to meeting it.

The Centurion 5/1 is still my "go-to" medium choice esp on Zone C but i'll have to work the TS-5 in there ;)

Its no better than the VK100 or the AT-15, its situational, and its simply incapable of redeployment.

Very similar situation ... I put myself in a spot in the city, where I had line of sight to the approach of objective #3 and #4, but I chose to respawn in the isu-130 for the dpm.

Cent 5/1 is my HT of choice for C/B and #5. When properly dug in it can be quite hard to kill, especially for "pubbies" blindly beliving in tank classes.

When defending objectives sometimes I'll take out my Somua.  If you pen all shots it can take out the majority of tanks from full health in under 10 seconds.

I don't even like playing slow tanks when defending the turrets, too often you lose the one you try to defend and either get stuck there and killed or can't get to where you're needed fast enough to help. But in those situations where the attackers keep funneling into your gun, yeah their great. Plus trying to avoid incessant strikes is not fun.

Only played mine once, by accident and the timing couldn't be worse.  I had just come in Sector D from the defensive respawn when the enemy, having captured E, flooded the map from E and before I knew it, I was swarmed with EBRs and Progettos who had easy shots for days into my rear armor.  I don't think I got more than one round fired...
