So, my idiot friend deleted his account then recovered it (within 5 minutes, like why can't he just request reset), he got the message: "Your account data is being restored following its deletion. The games and other Wargaming resources will become available within 24 hours. When the restoration process is complete, you will receive an email notification." and he doesn't know why he has to wait 24 hours. Help explain so he can shut up about it, my ears hurts. He also doesn't know how he can contact WG support since he cannot log into his WG account.

Why would he delete his account in the first place?

Just be glad that they will at least restore it for him as opposed to telling him to take a hike.

He something of WR being bad, despite under 60 battles.

I agree, 24hr won't kill

Tell him it's punishment for being an idiot.

He has fewer than 60 battles, and he's worried about saving his existing account? What, he's afraid he won't be able to complete that grind again?

That's ridiculous, I don't even put much stock in my WR for a specific tank unless I have at least 100 battles in with it, let alone 60. But, I suppose this doesn't answer your question. Tell him he has to buy 180 days of premium to unlock his account right away.

This just really means that it 'could' take up to 24 hours. It doesn't mean that it 'will' take that long.

I had a similar email when I did a name-change. Said it would take up to 2 weeks for it to change in the game. I logged in about 30 minutes later and my in-game name had already been changed.

Tell your friend to try logging in. If he can't, tell him to try again after an hour.

I hope it’s a bit of a penalty to remind him not to do it again.

Once an account is deleted, you'll have to wait for the server reset to regain the account... :P
