As the title says, light tanks are beyond overpowered in Frontlines.  Out of roughly 20 games I've played this weekend, and out of those games GoA was awarded to people playing lights in all but one game.  My last game there were 3 GoA's, all went to people playing lights.  I have seen exactly 1 GoA awarded to someone who did not play a light tank at all.

One thing that I noticed is when an ELC Even 90 was taking out the turret 5 from the far right side of the map.  Why does a shell from a light tank able to even damage a turret from the side, much less from over 300m away?  Is there some sort of terrain exploit that removes dispersion from lights around the final objectives?  It is absurd how easy it is for a light to almost single handedly win a game.

FL is not to be taken seriously .... or not any more seriously than we take complaints from someone with 109 battles ...

mobility wins in FL.  slow turds and campers have their occasional use, but mobility is far better.  That's why I like frontlines.

Frontlines is all about armor on the move.  Armor that does NOT move either caps, is arty or is dead.  Frontline is predominantly about medium tanks and fast ones at that.

There can only be one General of the Army in each battle...

Mobile mediums and light are the meta for the mode. Usually good light players have decently advanced crews and good game skills.

He speaks for all of the forums regarding these two scenarios-

A- If you're not going to post from your main account there is no reason for you to expect to be taken seriously.

B- Limited experience obviously limits the value of your opinion, not just in WoT but life in general.

Just for myself, and if you can't post under your main, why should I take you seriously? Stand behind your opinions or gtfo.

I'd modify that.  Frontline seems like it's all about the autoloaders.  Clip, retreat, repair, repeat.  But yeah, it's wonderful to see a mode in this game where flanking means something.

Last game 6 GoS's, 5 of them played lights.  Nope, nothing wrong with this picture.

LOL, oh really?  You 100% sure about that?  I actually miscounted this last battle.  Winning team had 4 GoA's, losing team had 3 GoA's.  There is no limit on how many, its based on your overall score.....

Yes, I'm absolutely positive, only one "General of the Army" award is given out in each battle. It goes to the player with the highest EXP, assuming he reaches the rank of general of course. Obviously only one player can have the "highest" EXP...  https://worldoftanks.com/en/content/docs/frontline-episode-1-regulations/

I'll just assume that you're actually referring simply to the rank of General rather than the award "General of the Army" which would seem to expose the lack of experience that I mentioned above...

Agree, light tanks have it easy in frontlines. Not everyone posess at least 3 tier 8 light tanks, if you do and play decent you can get general relatively easy. Theyre not only better because of their mobility but also because they have 3 reserves available for them. For balancing purposes they should only have 1 reserve available as a light.

Are we really discussing FL as if it matters?

Just do what I do and don't play it.

Personally I think it's a stupid mode. To me it is a removal of everything about this game that I love (no respawning, no HP regeneration, etc.) and is a dumbed-down CoD-esque version of WoT.

But you don't see me coming onto the forums to complain about it. I just don't play it.

You make it sound like all you have to do to make general with lights is to zip around taking pot shots at people, which shows how little you've played the class.

You have to constantly be aggressive, looking for opportunities to cap,or defend the cap.Lights make general often because they are the best tanks for taking the caps, which is where you get most of your xp points.

I've made Major or General in all but 2 of my matches this week, and it mostly due to capping or defending the cap.I think in only a handful of those battles did I do 10,000 damage, but I got the master striker ribbon in most of them.

Light Tanks OP in Frontline

Your thinking is "backward"...

The problem is that other tanks are DONKEY **** in speeds and gun performance.

The problem isn't Light tanks, it's that Wargaming has made everything else so terrible that the ONLY good tanks of the game almost are Light tanks!

This problem always existed, but it became massively worse since The Great Physics Nerf 3 whatever years ago when they started massively nerfing speeds and gun performances!

Good point...i may have to ramp up on my Progettto crew!  I do like the Lorraine 40t though and it's one of my go-to mediums in FL.  I actually don't play lights that much, not "twitchy" enough in my game play but boy i wish the M41 90 had one.

I owe you an apology, I went back and looked at the replay from the game and while there were 5 total generals, there was only 1 GoA per team.
