I AM A PROUD KIWI, And would just like to point out ANZAC means Australian New Zealand Army Corr So in future if you want to talk about ANZAC add New Zealand or do not even cover it.

Our forefathers blood  runs just as deep on foreign soil

Learn your history WOT or is it all about the hunks of metal and nothing about the battles or the wins and losses the death and honor?

To Chieftain and the Positive Contributors who have shared their personal comments, thank you for the reminders on our shared history of warfare.  The lessons are somber and for those who may have taken a "jocular" response, please be more respectful of the ultimate sacrifice so many made on all sides.  I suggest any interested parties Read "All Quiet on the Western Front", or watch the movie by the same name.  Read about what happened at Gallipoli, or watch the movie "Gallipoli".  Hopefully, afterwards, you may have a better understanding and profound respect for those who have gone before, similar to our own men and women who have stepped forward and given all they could.  It is fitting and proper we remember such past events with the appropriate reverence and reflection for all those who served and continue to serve.  There are many of us who have not forgotten, including the "Poppies that grow in Flanders Fields"  and "the Eleventh Month, the Eleventh Day, the Eleventh Hour".  Thank you.

With respect, I saw nothing to indicate that any of the NZ units partook in this particular battle, the units present are all identified as Australians.
