Aside from Empire's Border I don't particularly dislike any maps as such but some are totally unsuitable for higher tiers. Mines and Ensk comes to mind but any map where a scout only have to move a slight distance to spot all the red tanks if they have max view range is just insane. Ensk would be perfectly fine up to say tier 6

you are making a false narrative here. its not a problem you are getting spotted. ok? on both ensk and mines getting lit means next to nothing. there are very few and avoidable fire lanes early on on those maps

the problem with mines is that it is very hill centric... the map is typically decided within 30 seconds and after that its just a stupid slow attrition game. remember how karelia used to be?

the problem with ensk is that people are completely retarded and hide in the most useless positions. thats not a map problem, thats a player problem. ENSK IS FINE. PLAYERS ARE NOT. learn to play the map?

Besides the obvious facts that making good maps does not exist in your dictionary, you pretty much removed mediocre maps, surely kept the crap maps, and added the worst possible maps in WG history, but this is not even what bothers me most. What bothers me most is why the heck I start a game and scout for my team, my engine gets busted, and the engine-repair click is unresponsive. What the hell is this crap ? Plenty others have reported this. Fix this already, people support you financially not to make crap maps, but you keep pumping those in snails paste intervals, people pay you to play a game without bugs, is that too much to ask for? Can we have responsive fire extinguishers, repair kits etc please? Plenty reported this issue. Fix this already.

I have to Alt Tab out then back in just for Repair kits and med kits to work sometimes.

I have never had the button problem. It is probably related to your keyboard. Take it in your hands right now...turn it upside down...shake it to see what comes out. Whoa...

New Map coming soon to WOT!

"Field"

:P

This actually would be a terrific map, Provided it is big enough. Vision Control, IE battle intelligence, is what win battles.

There are maps I like, and maps I hate <Paris>, but I don't want to see any go away. I'd like to see them dredge up some of the old ones, even those I didn't like. It's about the play and breaking up the monotony. If they were smart they would cycle the maps every couple months. A few drop out of the rotation, and a few new or old ones come in, and it does that until every map they have ever had has been rotated through the cycle.

Then small tanks would rule and large tanks would have to stay way back. Most tanks are around 9fth, 3 meters I think. So it would need to be much taller then 6ft to do much good. I actually think the a whole map of forest, like Murovanka's Magic forest would be an awesome map.

You're right, I totally missed that.
I haven't experienced the bug myself, have you filed a bug report with our Customer Support team? Are you running any mods? Is it just your engine that can't be repaired?

Domo,

It is a very random bug that exists and happens after an also very random game crash.  When you load up into the game, again, your cool-down keys are unresponsive.  You can't use the number pad to change ammo, use a consumable, etc.  It requires you to manually mouse-over button click to get things to work.  Then, the bug disappears after the game ends.  I've had it happen more times, than I care to count.  I've also had a run of game crashes 15-20 deep and they continue to happen, even after a fresh install.  Though, I'm wondering if that has something to do with WoT not being happy with my system settings - going to wager that WoT doesn't interact well with Windows 8 upgrading to Windows 10 (never had issues on plain ol' Windows 8).

There is a flaw in Wargamings thinking towards maps.

  1. When taking about not removing arty; they say the are vital. They are thought of during map design.
  2. When talking about reducing arty to 1 or 2; they say they won't because you will rarely, very rarely, see a game with 0 arty.

So. Which is it? Are they too vital to the game... or is it vital to have games where there are no arty? Maps are designed around on arty being there... are maps also designed on them not being there?

You can't say you don't want to remove them because the games core function needs them... and then say you won't reduce them because you want games where they are not present.

...it's like your heart is needed, but we would like you to go 10 minutes without it.

ps: I am fine with 1 or 2 arty in every game if it means never seeing 3 arty ;)
