I've seen raging about every 1 of 5 games at tier 3, which is ridiculous for that to go on at that tier. I see raging about 4 out of 10 mid-tier but it is often directed at the team for "letting me die" by someone no one could help.

As far as dead generals, often I find helpful information so I keep chat on BUT I have the language filter on. It does not take a tirade of expletives to express a message. I really don't know what "you **** are **** **** and you cant play worth *****" has to do with being useful to the team. Just my opinion.

We can't have nice things since some players like to point out where their team mates are hiding in the Saltiness of their death.

LOL @ Saltiness of their death! Who talks like that? :)

@rundog, there is a reason I have several people in this thread on my ignore list.

I'm sure you could probably pick them out.

If you want to help new players, then try sending some pm's after game and see what type of responses you get.  It's rare, in my experience, that people are open to criticism even when positive.  I'm ok with cross chat being gone for good.

That word is used a lot here. Not even correctly often. Perhaps you want to try another insult?

I don't see any evidence of whining in my post, but lets say I am. Here are some other words you could try:

You are upset that you have zero control over other players.

So you want to force others to have to listen to you whining about how they are playing.

Gotta be a timezone thing. I don't play prime time as it's my afternoon. Makes sense people are less patient at end of a long day.

I play at various points throughout the day, typically during the afternoon. Usually end of the day I'm enjoying some dinner and watching TV.

How about if someone is new, or truly terrible, they lose the option to disable chat?

There are actually people who will offer these players helpful advice.

Hahaha obvious BS idea is obvious. If that's the way it really worked, or even worked often enough, then we wouldn't have the current chat set up.

What I really want is all chat back

And there it is, the truth.

How about: No.

Absolutely not.

How about you disable their chat and their map ping? Map ping was once limited. I guess WG hates us because they brought map ping spam back.

I learned nothing from other random players in chat. Nothing but hate and insults.

You clearly do not understand how snowflakes work. How dare you suggest people use features already built into the game, like blocking or disabling chat? You clearly dont understand that if you have a grievance with this game, the world must change for you as long as you whine hard enough.

Good heavens no, I have spent the last 5K games or so trying to unlearn all the stupid stuff I learned from my "teamates".  The best advice you can give to a noob is to point them to good youtubers. (skill4ltu, Taugrim)

I usually run with chat off because it is 95% useless, I wish they would turn off chat for dead players.  It is very distracting trying to carry the game when some dead player is raging nonstop with useless information.

Yes that's the party line, and you will forever stick to it. Love to see the % of games it happened in. I saw it very occasionally. People normally admonished the person who did it too.

The way WG handles chat is the only thing I'd like to see changed in this "online" game.

the fact is, you did see it happen and now we all are punished for a small number of idiots.  unfortunately, sometimes, that's how things work.

As far as dead generals....

I was thinking of people currently alive, trying to get teamwork going. I was thinking of the game I had. Tier 8 game and an IS-6 was sniping. I suggested he move with us a couple times but didn't respond. He fired twice the whole game.

Yeah, but if I'm honest, it's self serving. When I do suggest it's to encourage teamwork and hopefully the victory. Not much point after the fact.

I used to see this happen all the time.  Especially if the last one was either arty or just trying to hide.

To clarify an example of what I said was "Hey IS-6 we need your armour over here with us."

I think some people here are imagining quite different language.

Bit like how people see rage a lot more than me. Maybe it occured/occurs more in US prime time, which I don't play in much.

You see rage still? Maybe it's my timezone, I see very little. Most games there's no chat at all.

Are you sure you have chat on? I play mostly off prime time during the week but it doesn't matter when I'm playing, it's easily every other game. Usually it's right after someone dies, especially the first guy, usually a tomato who yolos out into the open then rages about not getting any support.
