Random and pretty simple idea, although I have no clue how feasible this is: A singeplayer (or multi, maybe in the style of training rooms?) mode that allows you to edit your tank's stats, both the tank itself and the modules. Figured it'd be amusing to test out concepts on what could help make specific tanks better or worse and in various situations, or just for the heck of it. Because come on, who hasn't ever wanted to go at like 90kph in a tank that should never be capable of it? Or have laser accurate artillery with maximum view range and can fire a shot every half second?

Just curious what people think of this silly little idea :P

Man I can't avoid complaints even when the thread is just casual and for fun. I'm also trying my hardest not to make a joke out of that.

Sounds like a sandbox mode?

I don't think I'd find that interesting or fun.  Sandbox modes in other games tend to induce me to want to go to sleep, so not my cup of tea.

In a way yes. Essentially serving the purpose of allowing players to either just mess around a bit for fun, or for more serious minded players to run tests, such as testing out proposed buffs that Wargaming has put out for specific tanks to see what they think of them. Heck, maybe it could also function as (or solely as even) a Test Drive mode where players can use a tank they don't yet have to see how well it performs. (I know that's sort of a feature for CT, but not everyone has Common Test)

It sounds like it could be fun, but only in small amounts.

The real question is whether enough people would find it fun enough to play regularly, it's not like WG is going to spend resources on something that 1% of the people enjoy 1% of the time. It's not like the idea is bad, I just doubt that it's good enough for it to ever happen.

You posted your idea for public comment, sometimes criticism is gentle, sometimes it's more direct and pointed. Just because someone criticizes your idea doesn't mean they're criticizing you, personally. He didn't insult you, it wasn't a personal attack, he just made a pointed comment about his opinion of the idea. That's how public posting works.
