Poll: Silent as the Grave (108 members have cast votes)

You have to complete 100 battle in order to participate this poll.

Should Dead players be Silent?

  1. Yes, the dead should not be able to speak in general chat. They can chat in platoon and ping the map if needed, but otherwise Silence is the rule for those in the Grave. (41 votes [37.96%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 37.96%

  2. I'm not sure. Sometimes the dead should be able to speak. Maybe have a time limit of 10 seconds for the Dead to impart knowledge, but then they are Silent. (13 votes [12.04%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 12.04%

  3. No, the Dead should always be able to speak. They keep talking to the living giving tactics and advice, and the hate and vulgarity can be ignored. (54 votes [50.00%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 50.00%

This exactly. Can never figure out why the dead can't contain their frustration and feel the need to ping-spam the map.

To the OP...I hope they BRING BACK inter-team chat. That was almost as much fun as the game itself. Grow some brass nads and stop being such a snowflake. With as many games as you have, you should have figured out how to move a Coke can in front of the chat window if it (boo-hoo) "offends" you.

The problem with inter all chat wasn't the toxicity,  it was the a__hats giving away friendly positions to the other team.  That's why it will never come back.

Eh, that's true enough and probably the biggest reason most players were accepting of the change.  Tbh though, WG also wanted to reduce the workload on their CS staff by removing the need to deal with children either misbehaving or getting easily offended in cross team chat.

Agreed, but I miss the all team chat. They should bring it back with a stiff penalty for reveling allied positions (like permanent chat ban for repeat offenders). Or at a minimum, bring it back for organized play like Strongholds and CW.

Let the dead players chat You can always just ignore them or turn off your chat. If the battle is still winnable, I will tell the team if I see trees or structures get knocked down, and keep them apprised of the team HP situation.

And how did you know if the a--hat was telling the truth? Could it be possible they were telling you the complete opposite?

Hmm, like Counter Strike back in the day. Team chat when alive and all chat when dead.

Let the salt flow...

Dead players should be able to chat with eachothers, maybe even across teams, in a some sort of a spectator view but they should not be able to communicate to the players still in the battle, not in chat nor via map pinging. The 2% of actual tactics and support is outweighed by the 98% rubbish.

I'd argue its much higher than 2%, but regardless, anyone who cares about winning should be willing to take that 2%.

Pretty easy to see if the a-hat was on your team whether he was telling the truth or not.  Duh.
