From time to time create a game where it is only arties. No TD's, no Lights, no Meds and No heavies. 

 

30 vs 30 arties.

Arty is easy mode.  It’s mega super easy mode in FL where the decap mechanic gives you exp.

I you have a Lynx or FL75, just punch back into the red zone during defense games and put them back into that same cue. They are learning though and I find them with ''guards" sometimes or they'll be nestled into a confined area hoping to splash you. Best bag so far this week is still 5.

Not trying to fix anything, this was just a fun and funny idea. It just spawned from the fact that there are so many arty in queues waiting to have a game.

 

It's about not taking it seriously for once and goofing it out.

Play ebr or lynx in platoon charge the Arty zone go cap after the zone

Original post is for 30v30 arty "joke/troll" game, no lights.

The irony is that capping and de-capping give you XP and rank points, in FL, but doesn't do anything in normal modes.  You can get an Invader medal and will get 0 XP, as a result.  AND, in terms of FL, you get 0 XP for dealing damage to gun batteries.  Chalk it up to WarGaming not knowing their respective code.

I find it mind boggling that they even have independent arty in FL. I mean you get pounded by air strikes, then you get pounded by arty strikes, then you get caught behind lines and you get pounded by yet another type.of arty and finally the player driven SPG... It's ridiculous! It's as if wging did this to flip us all off who despise the mechanic !

I find it mind boggling, the kiddos don't want people to play the game as it's designed... :child:

 

Maybe you should develop/produce your very own arty free tank game. When you do this, you can make the game mechanics any way you desire... :facepalm:

only people that hate on the FL currently are those that haven't grasp how to play the game yet / still.. all they want easy mode (not have to use any common sense)  & a participation trophy.

What is really mind boggling is that you're whining about SPG's and not the strikes, like they are the new thing added to the game. A reasonably intelligent argument would be why do we need strikes when there are already SPG's?

I honestly could care less about arty in FL, as the spread out nature of the class (I believe 3 per game, 1 arty per lane is the limitations, no pun intended) makes arty rather ignorable. Unless your a predatory Wheelie wolfpack hunting them that is.

 

Arty strike makes the actual arty look very underpowered lol

Maybe explain this a little better?  In a Random battle you get XP just by logging into a battle.  If you do nothing else, you will still have more than 0 XP.

Sitting on the cap, in a random battle, and gaining capture points doesn't gain you any XP.  So, if you're in a Fjords game - I'm using that as an example, since that maps has a lot of hills and such - the last tank is a Light tank, you don't want to chase the bugger, so you decide to sit on the cap and either pull him to you or just cap him out, you get nothing out of it.  You can capture all 100 base points and it will equate to 0 XP gained.

 

In Front Lines, if you deal 100% of the damage to a gun emplacement, you gain nothing from it (outside of rank).

 

In both of these cases, there is no monetary or XP based rewards.  Thus, your actions have no value, outside of achieving a goal.  Taking that a step further, I can deal 0 damage, in a Light tank, but have 5,000 Assistance Damage, through spotting, and I'll gain less experience than another equal tier Light that did 4k damage because actual damage is weighted more than assistance damage.  So, in short, this game rewards you more for dealing direct damage and screws you for other aspects of the game, including actual game mode objectives.  This is why you see people damage farming in FL and the whole "no cap, kill all" crap in randoms (plus there is the whole stat padding crap too).
