If you look again at the article, there is

LIST OF HISTORICAL VEHICLES

Expand v

which goes on to list multiple tanks that were not actualy anywhere near. Like the Pudel, beyond that, The only valentines I think were unarmed specials, from what I can find not even Canada had any of the Crusaders in northern Europe, but they were Italy however,

as for the B1 and the German variant, I found out that a couple of pillboxes had used The turrets, and some flamethrower conversions at Calais were still partly disassembled when they were found by the Canadians, having never been finished. I think one of thoes ended up back in Canada.

oddly though one tank that was there, and landed on D day, was the M5 Stuart. But it’s not listed as an option.

but it is tier 4.

If I'm reading this correctly, you can complete this missions with historical vehicles... It looks to include a number of lower tier vehicles like the 38T, B1, and Luch. Where as if you don't run the historical vehicles you have to play tier 7 through 10?

Might have to dust off the Luch for a little bit

Ditto :playing:

What a great excuse to play two of my favorite tanks, the M4 Sherman and my Luchs. Think I'll enjoy this more then the T34S marathon!

I can't wrap my head around why the Pudel is included in historical tank list nor why the new french M10 3" GMC gets to magically have better pen over the regular M10 armed with the 3".

Battle of Kursk rewards were better..tier 5 tanks I don't play much .They don't complete the new set of missions .Directives get used up & forgotten about real quick..Kursk missions we got 2 styles. One can only apply to t34s ,called hero of battle of Kursk..Style# 2 called, Fire bulge..I still use this every time I play...Why cant we get styles or camo that we can apply to more than one tank? @ least its something that we will be using years from now?

Hello everyone,

Can anyone clarify what the article at the bottom means "Complete daily missions to accumulate XP bonuses. All bonuses accumulated during the challenge will be valid for three (3) days after the completion of the marathon, so you can apply them after receiving the ultimate reward."?

Never mind, I found my answer. First time I read the article I skipped over the paragraph about the experience. Been a long day. I am going to bed.

GL & HF:)

Thanks Hambijon.

I can't seem to find the right code for this event though.

I tried "Sirocco", "Normandy" and "D-Day", but they are all invalid.

Attention Tankers!

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy. This landmark event was one of the turning points of World War II and marked the opening of the Second Front in Western Europe.

This event is very similar to the Kursk event we ran in July 2018 but much shorter.  You will only need to complete 10 missions to earn the M10 RBFM, and 14 missions to earn the historical style "Sirocco."

The Polish 1st Armored fought along side the British, in Normandy. They played a highly significant role in plugging the Falsie Gap. Since the Poles used British equipment there no way to honor their role. It appears WG added the Pudel in "historic vehicles" as a way to honor the Poles

Uhhhmmmm... not this one, hmmm not that one either.. hmmm.

No.

Clocest to decent could be tier 7, but its inferior to Jagdpanther and T25 AT. Maybe bathtube if you are into omlette du phoca, I remember it having insane camo as enemy commanderd often mistook it for bathroom equipment.

Do these kids even know what an historical vehicle looks like? I'll give you a hint, a historical vehicle is something that was actually used in a war and in a field of combat and NO its none of the tier 10 tanks or anything that was scribbled on some toilet paper. Some examples of historic combat tanks would be:

M2 Stuart, M4 Sherman, T-34, Tiger I, Tiger 2, Dicker Max, KV-2, etc.

Yeah, tanks that most unicorn player don't even like to be caught dead in them. Awe, too bad!

So the ranked battles were cancelled and we were promised that we will be able to get the same rewards in other game modes.

Ok, so on normal servers people get gold, bonds and tier IX tank.

And we get what? This?

Free France forces on D-Day in Normandy

Ground forces

On June 6, 1944, the Free French land forces deployed on Sword Beach are composed of two troops and a section. There are 177 commandos (1er Bataillon de Fusiliers Marins) led by Commandant Philippe Kieffer.

In the early hours of June 6, 1944, four sticks of 8 paratroopers from Free France belonging to the 3rd battalion under Bourgoin were dropped over Brittany.

Free France Air Force

The Free French air forces that participated in Operation Neptune from June 5 to 6, 1944, are the following: 3 fighter squadrons and 2 light and heavy bomber squadrons (which had previously fought in North Africa).

Free France Naval Forces

On many Allied war ships participating in Operation Overlord, one could find some crewmen French Libres. There are four Free French ships (which had been almost all built by the British):

In front of the German coastal artillery battery of Longues-sur-Mer (between Omaha Beach and Gold Beach) are deployed the Free France cruisers “Montcalm” and “Georges Leygues”.

In front of Omaha Beach is the Free France destroyer “Roselys”.

In front of Juno Beach is the Free France destroyer “La Combattante”.

I agree, this event looks quite doable w nice historical significance -

(but I also like the bigger events where one can win gold, premium time, etc.) -

has anyone else noticed that the reward vehicle (M10 RBFM) reminds one of the USA M10 Wolverine?

I hope it has a little better armor/ricochet ability...

Did it historically start out as a USA TD, or French?
