Greetings Tankers!

With update 1.5.1 you'll now have the option to make your Crew hit the books.  No crew to cool for school...

These books work like boosters however are targeted at a specific tank or crew rather than having a blanket bonus.

For all the glorious details on the different types of books and how to use them, check out the article we have linked below:

Boost Your Crew with Crew Books!

GLHF!

FYI:

1st skill and 40k extra xrew xp = 2mil creds

2nd skill and 130k extra crew xp = 6mil creds

3rd skill and 30k extra crew xp = 12mil creds

4th skill and 100k extra crew xp = 26mil creds

5th skill = 52mil creds

That's roughly how much you'll need to boost a whole tank's crew from 0% of 0 skill. The extra leftover crew xp can be used for next partial skill/perk.

I like the idea, it's not out-of-hand p2w and can help new/casual players get 1-2 upgraded crew skills. But You can't suddenly have 7 skill crews in all your tanks. Also gives me something to do with all my previously worthless credits LOL.

Black market and This? There seems to be credit inflation on WoT. Monetary guys are not happy now.

crew training was arguably the least pay to win aspect of the game.  thats creeping away :(

Actually, I've always considered a premium account's 50% increase in crew experience one of the biggest pay to win advantages.

certainly an advantage, but as crew skill is exponential (or at least non-linear increasingly increasing) and exp boost is fixed at 50%, the advantage becomes much less significant at higher tier/crew skill levels

That's a very good observation that I wasn't taking into account.  Definitely a big advantage early, but the advantage does dwindle.  And these crew books will definitely pick up some of that slack, so your original point is well-taken.

I suppose one good thing is at least they're offering it for credits and not gold.  But those that pay to win easily make the most credits to afford the books.  Oh well, That first skill for 2 mil would be worth it just so I don't have to wait on 6th sense.
