Folks, the Logitech G500 mouse that I've been using for years appears to be ready to go belly up and I need a replacement. Can anyone recommend a good gaming mouse that's relatively simple like the G500? I don't want a jillion buttons or fancy lighting, just a simple durable gaming mouse.

Ummm... How about the Logitech G500, I've heard they last for years...

Steelseries sensei raw is competition grade simple on the layout with only a few side buttons to program.

When my G500 finally wore out I got a G502. I like it, it's just about the same as the G500 with a few new features.  Adds a shift key, adjustable weighting, and the settings are stored in the mouse so you don't have to run the software unless you're changing the setup. You can plug it into any PC and still have the DPI, custom button mapping, etc as they are stored in the mouse.

I have a steelseries 310 it,s OK but a little awkward for me as an oddball who is right handed yet plays my mouse with my left hand, I also don,t like the seperate software that is needed to use this mouse and it,s a bit small and light for me, because of that I have just bought another Roccat mouse which was a favorite of mine years ago

I'm a Razer guy.  Have had great service from the keyboard and mouse.  Both have lasted for 5 plus years and are still humming along.

I use a left hand Razer with the two thumb buttons set for repair kit and med kit. And it was a deal at around $50.00.

Personally any mouse that feels comfy in your hand that you can buy in store from a Best Buy and then add the extra warranty from them.  I have gone through 6 different Razer mice and only paid for the original.  Just brought it back before the warranty expired and exchanged it for a new model or if they didnt carry that model anymore i was issued a store credit for the original purchase price, got a new mouse and paid a few bucks for a new warranty.

I've had mine for a looooong time and I'd love to get another G500 but Logitech doesn't make them anymore. Those brand new ones that I've seen cost $100-200.

Hell, some of these gaming mouses look like Star Wars spaceships.

I think I'll go for the Logitech G502.

Thanks for the tips folks! :honoring:

To be fair for wot you only really need a bog standard scroll mouse because its not a twitch game needing pixel perfect high dpi smooth tracking for those muscle memory noscope 180 shots.
