Please WG  stop requiring us to redeem a code to get missions.  All missions should be available in the game.  Having to enter a code is stupid and annoying.

Post if you agree

Stupid and annoying are WG's middle names.

The idea is to reduce clutter in the Missions tab.

So they should add a filter... Who's dumb idea was it that people should be required to put in a code (which they have to search for and is sometimes released HOURS after the event starts.) Just to be able to participate in something that everyone should be participating in.

Its not some special deal or discount, its a dumb mission. The only reason they did it is to give away less rewards, we all know that. Most people now dont even bother with the codes and the other portion doesnt even know they exist.

Yes, this is  true. However, the old mission UI was easy to use and was never an issue to understand nor get cluttered. It's only the "new improved" UI that has created the problem.

And yes, I totally agree these codes are unnecessary and frankly ridiculous.

This is WG's terrible failure on UI. Clutter is not a new thing when it comes to UI design. What they did is instead of redesigning the mission UI they invented a complicated system to get missions. Completely missed the point!

Remove the codes and rebuild the mission UI.

Codes for missions are dumb.

As long as there are codes for missions I will NOT buy anything.

That is how I will protest.

I was aggravated when I saw the announcement at 2PM after playing all morning.  The code-to-activate needs to stop.

I've heard it's clutter and so only folks wanting to participate get rewards so they can offer better prizing.

Re: clutter.  Foxtrot foxtrot sierra.  Add some filters WG.

Re: better prizing.  Kind of hard to tell if we're getting better prizing or not to be honest.

Also early on it was said (by staff) that this was being tested here on NA.    It wasn't made clear (at least on the post(s) I've read) if this was testing for NA server purposes only or for the WG globally.

I'm guessing testing for NA only.

Are we still the only server having to enter codes?  Again I'm guessing yes and it's still only NA only and the other servers won't be involved.

Thanks in advance for any replies on this.

I agree.  And the excuse about "we made the mission tab unusable so now we have to reduce clutter" is lame.

I can only figure that the real reason for these codes is that they want to make WOT player connect with all their social media advertising.   They probably figure that if players are following them on FB, etc., and get in the habit of watching the Community Contributors, it makes them less likely to quit playing.

Me, I just want to play a game.  I'm not looking for a lifestyle.

The previous version of the Missions Tab UI was actually pretty good.  I don't know why they changed it instead of just tweaking it.

I was fine at first. The codes were few and we were promised better rewards in the future. The codes are many now and the rewards haven't changed from the past. I no longer enthusiastically await any of the bonus events. Bonus events isn't even the right term any longer. They've become optional add ons that always expire! I daresay this is worse than EA's antics.

Codes for missions is the single worst thing WG have ever done.

And they have done some really bad things to their players over the years...so that's really saying something.

I don't think it is about clutter.

I think it is about bean-counting.

They want to know:

1.  How many people and who are interested in particular missions.

2.  How much money these people spend vs how much they get in awards.

3.  And other metrics.

Thing is that the bean-counters aren't focused on communication.

How many players check the forum looking for missions or codes?  A lot of people are missing the fact that some missions are available and the codes for those missions.  The Tank Mastery missions that began this morning, but weren't announced on the forum until this afternoon and still haven't been announced on the news feed.

Add to that the glitch with the Play your tank right codes earlier this month.  They didn't work on the redemption page and then when they did, not all of them were showing up in the missions tab.

WOT NA management needs to look hard at how the code system is being implemented AND THEN ABOLISH IT in its current form.

Go back to listing all the missions in the Missions tab and then have people click an activation link for the mission from within the Missions tab.  Same bean-counter benefit, no player confusion.

It feels more like a cop-out than anything. Any and all current missions should activate automatically. Make it easier for everyone. I would very much rather complete a mission by accident than have to decide which are worth jumping through several stupid hoops to acquire, and doing so before I even get into the game.

I think we told them explicitly from time to time that this is stupid. Looks like they want to continue with it and piss off the players more and more every week.
