Codes should be for Scavenger Hunt ONLY.   Requiring codes for daily/weekend missions, On Track, etc. is STUPID.  STOP IT!

Of all the stuff in WOT that needs fixing, prior to the code [edited]I can't remember ever reading, nor hearing anyone complain at all about the mission UI.

WG is lying to us (big surprise, eh?) about the reason for the code crap, then the incompetent fools can't even post the [edited]code on time.

No wonder we are still looking at jacked up friends lists, and the same old worn out maps, WG has pissed up priorities, and even more pissed up execution of those priorities.

Never had a facebook account, and I am sure not going to make one to get a code from WG.   The only thing I gather from WG from the codes is that they don't want me to spend a penny.   Easy enough, billfold closed.

Your so right this is utterly annoying. I think that at a bare minimum if your paying extra to be a premium player it should just give you the missions.

I can only figure that the real reason for these codes is that they want to make WOT player connect with all their social media advertising.   They probably figure that if players are following them on FB, etc., and get in the habit of watching the Community Contributors, it makes them less likely to quit playing.

I agree that this is a lot of the reason. Make someone feel that they are part of a community, they are invested mentally/socially in the game. This can also be used to track how many will invest the time to go through the hoops.

Kinda like how the balck market was designed to get the economy back under controll. While we all got the chance at good stuff, we have depleted our gold and credits.

While its not to hard to enter codes, you now have to look at the news articles to see if anything is there.

if its to force us to be more a part of the WoT society...why is this ONLY for NA? why arent codes on EU/RU? that would be fair.if we must jump thru hoops,so should they.

or if they dont have to.neither should we.same playing field for all.

Signed.

Not that it's my first post about the matter.

The idea is to reduce clutter in the Missions tab.

You can collapse groups of mission by clicking the header to avoid clutter.

People who want to play most or all mission end up with the exact same "clutter", so codes make no difference.

So stop entering codes and stop giving them money until they stop.  Just as WG enables the idiots to act like idiots by failing to enforce rules, you enable WG to continue acting like idiots by continuing to give them money.  Tell them to screw off until they stop this crap.

I agree.  And the excuse about "we made the mission tab unusable so now we have to reduce clutter" is lame.

I can only figure that the real reason for these codes is that they want to make WOT player connect with all their social media advertising.   They probably figure that if players are following them on FB, etc., and get in the habit of watching the Community Contributors, it makes them less likely to quit playing.

Me, I just want to play a game.  I'm not looking for a lifestyle.

This is exactly it.

It used to be fun to get a couple of games in, maybe get a mission done if it went well, not being able to do that without watching some BS I could care less about, a poorly produced, poorly edited video by some WG staffer, or some CC I have no desire to hear from is [edited]dumb.  Paging through piles of web pages to find a code that isn't going to be there because some WG staffer got drunk at lunch, and lost the sticky note reminding them to post the code is even more full-throttle-retarded.

Turning a game into a job is not fun.

Cabbage telling us that essentially, the only players that matter to WG are the ones willing to search for codes was even more of a hint WG couldn't give a [edited]less about us.

WG... trying to chase the average "just want to play a game" player away as fast as they can.

Codes are just mini games to keep players engaged and coming back to their website.  I'm sure some consultant told them engaged players stay with the game longer and watching for and hunting down codes is a game in itself that keeps players engaged (in an odd twisted way).  It also serves the analytics team to gather data on what perks our interest and what does not.  It's annoying, yes.

I would have to agree. It is kind of stupid to need a code.

They "fixed" their slightly clunky mission UI by giving us something that's FAR more clunky and tedious ... classic WG garbage customer support.

Except that taking you out of the garage and the game itself is a MUCH greater break to engagement than not having to do so.

The codes thing is kind of annoying? Only because it's not across the board. Some things need a code, others don't. I keep up fairly well on the WoT news but I have to admit I completely didn't know the play your tanks right missions had gone to monthly codes. I wonder how many rewards I missed out on lolz

Plus the fact that even when there are codes they're late or outright MIA for days and days.

*cough* play your light tank right *cough*

I missed an entire day of 1.5x xp because I didn't see that we had to enter a code until sometime Sunday. They could at least do a better job of letting us know about the weekend events (prior to the weekend) and that we have to enter codes. How hard would it be to have dedicated real estate on the WoT website homepage or the launcher?
