So, when wargaming "nerfs" gold rounds making HP higher and standard shell damage higher will it be easier to make General in Frontline? Because your putting out more damage a shot and more HP to take away on the battlefield. Or will they change the way XP is earned for damage?

Possibly.

If you use regular AP, all other things being equal, you should do more damage.

In addition, bigger HP pools means more damage available to get on the field.

If they don't alter the FL scoring structure, then yes.

On the other hand, tanks like the Defender, etc., will still be on the field.

You still need to pen them, so people will still use SPammo.

Continued need and use of SPammo means roughly similar damage done numbers.

However, since SPammo will be roughly 30% less effective due to HP pool increases, more SPammo will be used against said hard targets.

So, it depends on the tank you use and your targets. A naturally high AP penetration tank will likely score better. If your tank has weak AP penetration, probably less or no improvement since you will need to use SPammo at times.

I would expect an initial period of people trying to gain the benefit of increased AP damage, then, after finding out that increased damage numbers are meaningless if you don't penetrate, a reversion back near the norm of AP/Spammo usage.

I never ever shot a single round of Prem ammo in FL. I never ever have made General since the first go around. So I doubt it will make any difference. Since most people do not understand the concept of FL is not end match push. But to max out the time of the match for the most reward. "Aint notthin" gonna educate that group or make a difference.

It would but, don't get your hopes up because what goes on the Sandbox may never see the light of day, it is just a way for them to test out various ideas.

If they do their job correctly they will also rebalance the ranking xp due to damage in Frontlines.

Just like they will need to rebalance the amount of credits earned via damage, unless they're ok with giving out much more credits per battle.

There's so many things that will need rebalancing if they really go down that route it's rather ridiculous.

Please god don't let these sandbox changes go through, they're ridiculous, why screw up the whole effing game when they can limit the amount of premium able to be carried and it would be a much MUCH better solution.
