Sys admin here, so you can talk technical.  I get this error when trying to update to the latest release from version 1.5.0.4 #1314 either from the launcher, or by running the current installer .exe file.

  • Windows 10 1803.
  • Default permissions on install directory: (E:/Games/World of Tanks)
  • C:\ is an M.2 SSD where the OS is stored.
  • D:\ is an M.2 SSD where pagefile and limited apps are installed.
  • E drive permissions look like the following:
  •  - Authenticated Users (special Perms)
  •  - SYSTEM (Full control)
  •  - Administrators (Full control)
  •  - Users (read & execute, list folder, read)
  • E:\Games\World of Tanks inherits these permissions from the root of the drive.  Nothing special.

What I have tried:

  • I've tried running the installer as admin.
  • Full windows update, and reboot, same error.
  • Move installer to the updates folder and run as suggested in support page.

Well, rather than the "support" subforum i feel like they probably meant customer support (or "player support" as the button says in the top left) :hiding:

I understand, but I have no experience yet with their support.  So I did both. If their support sucks, then you guys back me up.
