I been trying to figure which of these three to get. When I played the Tier 6 crommy I loved it but a lot has changed since I last played this game and that particular tank. I want to hear everyone's opinion on which one they like best and why. Also, does anyone know if any of these tanks get preferential match making? Wargaming is extremely tight lipped about which tanks get it, especially the new horde of premium tanks they are releasing. Only the list of the older premium tanks with PMM is available and it's months old. I tried getting information from them but they referred me to an old news post over a year old that only lists a handful of tier 8 tanks with PMM. Obviously they don't want people know which tanks get PMM before they buy those tanks, which is extremely annoying. >=^|

Anyways, what is so great about these tanks and why? And if any of them get PMM? I really want to know! =^D

None of them receive protected match making. I'll happily defer to the much better player's above opinions on which is better.

If crew training isnt a concern and you're just looking for the best vehicle than this^.

Only reason to consider a cromB over the 34-85 is if it were to come with the 0-perk crew, which apparently it doesn't.

None of them get pref MM. They stopped doing that for new prem tanks starting 3(?) years ago or so.

T-34-85M > Cromwell B > Strv M/42-57

It's really a play style preference between the first two and they are 99.9% identical to their tech tree counter parts. Both are meta for strongholds and tournaments, but the M is more useful as a crew trainer for the many meta Russian mediums.

I personally have only played the Strv, but I have played the Tech tree Cromm and 34-85.

34-85m great all rounder with decent armor plays like a medium should. Can train crew for all Russian mediums I think?

Cromm B needs to be played aggressively, almost like a lite tank - if you are good at that ( I am not) then that tank can really carry. Can train crew for Brit mediums - which are good, I use the RAAC 5/1 for that.

Strv - (my favorite) is more of an assassin.  You need the team to play well, if you follow the heavies or aggressive mediums you can really punish the reds. This tank can share crew with the swedish UDES mediums T8 - T10

CromwellB is the best tier 6 tank by FAR because its versatility and effectiveness. The russian medium has good gun and good armor (for a med) but it is not very versatile, on the other hand the cromwell can play light tank and medium and you can deal with tier 8 tanks no problems using its speed and good gun. I simply love it, one of my top 3 most liked tanks in the game. Probably the most fun tank in the game if you like risky but effective play.

I also have the t34-85m but i never play it cause it is booooring and slow.

If i need to complete a difficult med mission I always take the Crom for a spin cause he knows how to get the job done ;)

...my best game with it was one time where I almost single handedly killed a TS-5 by sniping (couldnt take the kill shot) and 1v1ed a revalorise and killed it. It's THAT good.

Crommie for the win baby!

I like the T34-85 best. But that just fits my style.

I haven't played the Strv so no comment on that.

I cannot stand the gun on the CromB, but the mobility and vision capability are awesome.  And, if you set it up for vision you can play many roles in skirmishes.  You will want skills and equipment that gets the gun bloom down.  And, you cannot get triggered by missing shots.  This thing has the accuracy of a Tier V derp.

The T-34-85M is an all-rounder.  It has good mobility and a decent gun.  The armor is good - especially in skirmishes where you mostly face MTs and LTs.  It is a bit sluggish on the start so a bit of planning is necessary.

On crew training, the Tier VII Russian Mediums start messing with their crew layout.  You end up losing vision in the T-43+ because you lose the Situational Awareness skill.  You have to skill that up on the Loader.  That really hurts that grind.  The same kinda thing happens in the British MT line at Tier VIII so that is going to cause some pain.

I have both and let the caller decide.

Personally, although I get triggered more by the CromB gun I can do more in it that lead to wins.  The CromB can combat scout and hunt LTs, the 34-85M cannot.  The CromB can range the map and take out end-game vehicles with poor vision, the 34-85M can sorta do that.  It's just that gun though.  Ugh.

I'm also torn on which one to get. I'm at tier V for the British medium line, and VI for the Soviet lines, but I have the VC Firefly and T-34S for training. I haven't played the Swedish line, and of course I don't have any premiums on it either, but apparently the Strv is the worst.

I have all three of them and the Strv is indeed the least desired, 85M has the armor while the crommie has the speed, pick the one the fit's your play style and will help train crews.

Bonus question: Does choosing a tier reward deduct that amount of points from your accumulated reward points total?

ps: The Cromwell B is the best looking tank all the way up to tier 9 with one or two exceptions. Get it if you want to look more awesome than your team mates. Stats cannot make up for raw visual appeal.
Get the T-34/85 if you want to blend in with the crowd (booooring) and the Strv if you swing that way....

I'm not saying that the Strv is better, or even as good, as the other two, but it is fun in its own way.  I enjoy mine quite a bit.  Think of it as a low tier auto loading, turreted TD rather than a medium.  600 damage in 6 seconds can ruin the unsuspecting's day.
