The tier 9 is mich better at side scraping, dont count on it. In-fact, just dont side scrape

What a shame. I don't drive heavy that much, and am quite enjoying some side scraping on the 430 II.

Think I'll go 1 BP on the K-91 anyways, and save 3 for the future.

Thanks for the input all.

Yeah the 430v2 still has some of the remnants of the armor that it used to from when 430 was t10, so it allows you to troll with its side and turret, the k91 however is more similar to 416 in terms of armor efficacy, youll get troll bounces but not much more. It does have the advantage of being russain, so people tend to not shoot at ur turret

The K-91, when I was on test, was really good.  But, it suffers from the Panther Syndrome.  That is to say that it is a ranged support tank, in that support is the designation for any tank that isn't heavy alpha, auto-loader, or meta hull down.  As such, you end up having to actually think, a lot, in regards to where you're going and why you're going there.  The typical player doesn't want to think, anymore than is necessary.  The shell velocity is amazing, the turret armor is pretty damned good at face hugging (low profile leads to odd bounces and ricochets), and the DPM is out of this world.  It just isn't sexy.  This game is all about big hits and taking out enemies quickly which is why you don't see people playing DPM tanks.  Ever wonder why the T-62A isn't played but the Obj 140 and Obj 430U are?  The T-62A has a better turret and same DPM/alpha as the 140 YET you hardly ever see it... not sexy, to the community!

I was with you right up until this part here. Every Russian medium is a DPM tank, and those are some of the most competitive in the game. The Super Conq only hits for 400, but has great DPM. To say that DPM tanks aren't used is flat out wrong.

The reason you don't see the T-62a much is because the 140 is faster and has better gun depression, whereas the T-62a has thicker hull armor but it's less angled, so in practice you get less hull armor on the 62 than the 140. The 62a is a very good, but there are better alternatives. The 430U is a totally different animal, so it doesn't really bear comparing in this context.
