I don't play WoT a WHOLE lot, I'm big on the WoWS stuff now. Haven't logged in in maybe 5 months now. That being said, the game is still really fun and ins't going anywhere, so I do try to stay fairly updated. (Things like the prammo changes and stuff)

However the T78 slipped my radar. I am an AVID Hellcat player. Back in the fall when I was doing WoT heavily (daily), its all I played. Was actually top 10 for a few months in Hellcat and M56 Scorpion. Managed 3 stars on both. I am a sucker for the speedy TDs with great camo and view range. I got the KanJpz 105 and STRV S1, and they are alright, but I much prefer the lower tier, turret, and view range of the US. (Though e25 is tempting to go for:justwait:)

So how does everyone like the T78? From my first impressions, it seems pretty cool. Like a Hellcat hooked up with a Scorpion from what little I have seen. Even more kickass gun at the expense of Hellcats super high end mobility. Forget how to look up camo values, but I assume they are stellar. Anyone know if it is better or worse than Hellkitty? Those that play a fair bit of Hellcat and own a T78, is it unique enough and fun enough to be worth it? I could easily be a guy that plays only Hellcat. Its just such a fun tank with the great speed, camo, viewrange, and gun... but like I said I'm heavy on WoWS. If I played this game daily I would definitely buy a T78, but I don't play daily, or even monthly... It is sporadic at best.

TL;DR- One of those weird hellcat sealclub mains who sporadically plays WoT wants to know if he should buy a T78. Is it fun/unique from M18, or is it just a glorified reskin?

Thanks!:honoring:

I hear the gun handling and aim time is garbage and so is the mobility.

Not too bad and is certainly not op. Decent gun but slow turret traverse. Can only take a few hits before it's done so hide often.

It looks more like a Jackson hooked up with a Chaffee

Slap a camo net and binocs on it, find a bush with a good sight line, and go turkey shooting. It's pretty good at doing that, but that's pretty much all I can say about it.

It’s right up your alley, splits the difference between Hellcat and Jackson although the premium penetration is heavily nerfed for no reason anyone can ascertain.

That's exactly what it is.

It is a Jackson turret on a Chaffee hull, so that might explain why it looks like that

I haven’t played it more than a couple of times, but it seemed ok. It's been a few years since I last played the Hellcat, and that was pre-nerf so I can’t really say how it compares. The bloom is massive, but manageable.  It isn’t nearly as fast as the Hellcat. If anything it felt like a faster Jackson with slightly slower reload.

I wish this TD had been available back when I was grinding the American TD lines. It is a far sight better than the Scorpion.

It's mediocre at everything but it is a crew trainer.
