M4A3E8 Fury

The good:

  • High rate of fire
  • Good aim time
  • Plenty of ammo capacity
  • Gun Depression
  • Seats 5, you'll have no problem plopping yankee medium crews into it
  • Comes with a unique look - Fury's paintjob does show through whatever paint you put on it (maybe this one's a neutral)

The bad:

  • Accuracy is kinda butts
  • Penetration is rather poor
  • Mobility, 41.8km/h, Fury is much more sluggish than the vanilla E8.

Overall, not a bad tank but be prepared to fire APCR to be relevant in a lot of your matches as you lack the outright mobility of the E8 to always have access to enemy flanks.

I have it and don't mind it, but the Thunderbolt is a better option IMO... Not just for the crew, but also for the usable armor. If they would make Fury as mobile as the Loza Sherman or the tech-tree E8, it might be a different story.

One thing about the Sherman tank in this game, you can get enough versions of this tank to spend your whole night playing some sort of Sherman between tiers 5 and 8.

I agree.  A little bit more armor for about the same performance.

I use Fury in Strongholds at times, with good success, to train USA crews,

even though the RU 85M is def a better all around choice (even with the basically irrelevant 14 less dpm).

Block Quote

Now you can own this piece of cinema history: Fury is a bulked-up M4A3E8 Sherman with a more powerful engine and bigger cannon

This is taken from the webpage advertising the tank.... The bolded emphasis is mine, and those statements are 100% false. The engine and cannon are exactly the same as that on the M4A3E8, and either the person writing it is ignorant (in that case, why are they writing the article?) or they KNOW it's false and they're deliberately misleading people.

What gives, guys?

It's actually a weaker engine than the top E8 one, while the gun is the same but with maybe a slightly higher ROF

The gun is identical. The Easy 8 gets 12 degrees of depression though, where the Fury "only" gets 10

Personally the big draw to this tank is the movie, I picked it up instantly the second time it was released. Someone mentioned that they used it during strongholds; I was the same back when I was in a clan for tier 6 I used the Cromwell B or Fury based on team needs. I trained my crew and equipped it to give me max ROF and turret traverse to just gun down all that dared to oppose me in a one on one while running circles around them. You could see in their movement at their utter shock and horror when I unloaded on them. Same goes for randoms and I like to take the Fury out when im having a slump as my personal seal clubber.

I've never actually had issues with its accuracy either, It hits just as many shots (consistently) as my other Easy 8s. The pen I think is worse than the tech tree variant but I rarely have to use gold rounds to get the job done unless Im facing well armored tier 8s. Also the worse engine hasn't affected me much yet as evident by what I said previously because I can still run circles (or turn) faster than most tanks can swing their turret around. its a great flanker and ambush tank to catch opponents by surprise, especially useful in groups for shear DPM output. I've got my gun reloading at 2.72sec. currently, my e25 is at 2.65sec. for comparison and a m22 locust is at 2.2sec. reloading

If you like the movie and love playing shermans this is the tank for you
