Another event, sweet!

A cool camo and a 2x weekend, even better!

Locked the ability to earn them behind NEEDING A PREMIUM TANK.....not cool. I don't care if premium tanks earn double tokens and tech tree tanks earn the standard rate like the Brit v. US event, but locking people out because they don't own a premium is kind of silly. Maybe include a rental (Just the tank, don't need to include a crew) for the nation you enter a code for so that everyone can participate if they don't have a premium. Even a 5-10 battle limited rental would do.

Camo as a reward is cool.

Hopefully you guys have figured out what went wrong with the Continental vs Brit event and we don't have to go through support to get the reward mission activated. Didn't bother for the x2 xp, but I will for a style.

Pick America, we are the only country to actually landed on the moon. We already won the race 50 years ago, why would you want to go with the 2nd place team.

There is no debate about the first successful landing on the moon.  When a Russian gymnast flips off the vault and then lands on their face, do they call that a successful landing?  While a great accomplishment, the Luna 2 crashed and burned when it hit the moon, it did not "land".

We'll give you Yuri Gagarin.  First man in space, and he's surely a Unicum pilot.  He definitely 4 marked that rocket.

But the US was the first to successfully "land" on the moon.

The truth is that the German scientists pretty much did it for both countries so there is that

I'm all in with USA even if it means having to play my T14.

I just want the camo, and by pure numbers, the Ruskies have us by far.  If you can't beat'em (for the camo), then join them.

But yeah, there's no debate about the moon.  We first!  :great:

According to Robert K. Rouse the Germans landed on the moon as early as 1942 ....

---

The Germans landed on the Moon as early as probably 1942, utilizing their larger exo-atmospheric rocket saucers of the Miethe and Schriever type. The Miethe rocket craft was built in diameters if 15 and 50 meters, and the Schriever Walter turbine powered craft was designed as an interplanetary exploration vehicle. It had a diameter of 60 meters, had 10 stories of crew compartments, and stood 45 meters high.

Welcome to Alice in Saucerland. In my extensive research of dissident American theories about the physical conditions on the Moon I have proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that there is atmosphere, water and vegetation on the Moon, and that man does not need a space suit to walk on the Moon. A pair of jeans, a pullover and sneakers are just about enough.

Everything NASA has told the world about the Mood is a lie and it was done to keep the exclusivity of the club from joinings by the third world countries. All these physical conditions make it a lot more easier to build a Moon base.

Ever since their first day of landing on the Moon, the Germans started boring - and tunneling under the surface, and by the end of the war there was a small Nazi research base on the Moon. The free energy tachyon drive craft of the Haunebu-1 and 2 type were used after 1944 to haul people, materiel and the first robots to the construction site on the Moon.

When Russians and Americans secretly landed jointly on the Moon in the early fifties with their own saucers, they spent their first night there as guests of the .... Nazi underground base. In the sixties a massive Russian - American base had been built on the Moon, that now has a population of 40,000 people, as the rumor goes.

After the end of the war in May 1945, the Germans continued their space effort from their south polar colony of Neu Schwabenland. I have discovered a photograph of their underground space control center there.

Congratulations to the US for winning a contest they created.

The Russian's goals were first man in space, first woman in space, and first dog in space.

It's so easy to win a game you make the rules for.

When you count the number of Tier V - VI Premium Tanks, which side has the advantage in this event?

I just took a look at what I have in my garage to help me decide who in this event would have an advantage if any (*cough* Russian bias *cough*).

Here's the list decide for yourself:

USA

  • M4 Improved
  • Ram II
  • Thunderbolt VII
  • Fury
  • T14

U.S.S.R.

  • T-50-2
  • Matilda IV
  • T-34-85 Rudy
  • T-34-85M
  • Loza's M4
  • Churchill III
  • KV-220-2
  • KV-2®
  • SU-85I
  • SU-100Y

hmm WG check your coding I can't stop being so bold :hiding:

As much as I would love to play for the USA team because we performed the first manned moon landing I do wonder if I must be a treacherous dog and choose U.S.S.R. due to their lineup of tiers V - VI premiums. ugh

*cough* Russian bias *cough*

Really wish I would have done the count BEFORE I made my choice.  The Bias is strong in this one.

I predict a huge win for Russia.  After just a few battles it is clear this one is not worth the effort for those choosing U.S. - nice planning WG.
