Have you seen the size of those tanks?, I don't think you can fit 40 shells and a crew inside of those tiny cockroaches.

Yet the ELC Even 90 (90mm gun) can fit double the ammo that the Tier 8 light of the same size with an even lower caliber gun (85mm gun) can.

Is the Even 90 a portal to Narnia or something? If not, there's no reason why they can't put 40-50 shells into the Tier 8 as well.

Though I agree the Manticore at first glance is lack luster, changes need to be incremental, especially when adding a new line into the ecosystem.

Incremental like the EBR? Or is it that war-gaming learned a valuable lesson with the EBR?

Did you even WATCH ANY of the videos of all the various respected commentators on this game?

Since you don't pay attention to us, you at least often pay attention to them.

Where the **** are your brains located?

Oh so now we want incremental? How long did the obj 268 v4 run rampant with NO nerf? Everyone said right off the bat this thing is clearly broken but there was no incremental move there I see. But now we want a light that's atleast on par with the others which it CLEARLY is not and nope have to wait. What a joke

The ammo capacity issue will be a pain and a needless one at that. The devs are rightfully being criticized for it, but there's bigger fish to fry than that. Let's not forget that the announcement was made that this line was intended to be 'well-armed' light tanks, yet that statement is totally inaccurate across the board. The DPM of the whole line is laughable, even compared to the already low standards we've set for light tanks. The alpha values are completely average as well, and even if the pen seems high for the class, that still makes it very poor for the tier. And until recently, the crown jewel at tier 10 had very sloppy gun handling as well. The new test version has helped this a little, but the real concern is that either the devs or the marketing guys just don't understand what 'well-armed' means, and that's ridiculous. Or worse yet, that they do.

And as the others have said, there have been all of these incidents in the past where the devs have tested, and tested, and tested some more and still put horribly unbalanced things onto the live server even though everyone and his brother warned them against it. Better yet when its been premium tanks that they simply cannot nerf because the players might want refunds. So I'll suggest something a little different- why not just assign these tanks appropriate stats to begin with that way you don't have worry about changing them later. Apparently this is a revolutionary and impossible concept these days, but it didn't use to be!

But to get back on topic, scouting was always a niche role and a thankless and risky one at that. It might be easy to think that scouting has gotten more powerful now that light tanks have the same MM as the other classes, but quite the contrary. When lights are top tier, then that just gives them opportunities to do more productive things with their time. Bottom tier scouts on the other hand aren't going to have a view range advantage so that makes them lousy scouts to begin with. And to make things better, only a few maps are even remotely scout-friendly these days. This is the corridor brawling meta, when lights try to scout they're often ineffective. When they do successfully scout against the odds, they're often irrelevant. And when they try to improvise new roles, they're often inferior.

That's the environment that the devs decided to wade into and make a line of underpowered light tanks. Frankly, at this point I doubt there could even be such thing as a genuinely overpowered light tank. And honestly, that's a pity. The corridor brawling meta is a total drag. When the bulk of the combat is dumbed down to a simple contest of who had better odds of penetrating who with snap shots at center mass, then of course things will quickly get ugly. That just makes a vicious cycle of redundant front armor and gold spam, which sucks for everyone.

268v4

Defender

430U

Wheeled light tank

Japanese heavies (so many nerfs and buffs I've lost count)

All obviously OP/broken/need tweaked but there was no holding back then even after "testing". What exactly do you test? Do these testers even play the game?

The line is underwhelming at best and based on CC vid's, I may pick up the premium but the rest can stay on the tree. If the tier 10 doesn't rival existing tanks there is no reason to acquire them.
