Hi there,

Since the update it's being taking far to long to enter a match. The battle screen will show the loading-progress bar at the bottom along with the team, it will move about a quarter of the way across then stop for a while, and then eventually I get into the game. By then the battle can already be up to two minutes old, I may have lost a chance for a good tactical position because somebody else has taken it, and sometimes other players are already abusing me calling me a "camper", "noob", etc.

I've tried reinstalling, different internet connections and even different servers but it makes no difference. Ever since the update, the game take forever to load.

Sounds like a HD issue to me, but if you already tried to reinstall the game then idk. Possibly outdated drivers or a missing windows file that is causing your OS to run slow. The only thing I'd suggest is a fresh windows install.

Defragging the hard drive might have some effect?

Had that problem for a long time until I downloaded Defraggler, and now I use it after every WOT update(just checking everything WOT-related). WOT updates have thousands of fragments...

Static drives are cheap now, and will solve your problem without ever needing defragmentation.

If you don't already have a solid-state drive, consider getting one and installing WoT to it.  SSDs are much faster than regular hard disc drives and if your WoT installation is currently on a regular HDD, making that change would speed up your game loading.

I'm using HDD without an issue so I suspect the problem lies elsewhere...

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to run defraggler and see how that goes.
