Hey all,

So i'm trying to carve my way into a new heavy tank line, and I could use some suggestions.

I currently have a T29 and an O-Ni for my heavy tanks. I stopped playing the first after I became aware of how crapthe T32 is and how frankly useless the T110E5 is compared to all the other fast-ish heavies. I stopped playing the O-Ni now that the Type 4 and Type 5 have been nerfed into oblivion.

I'm looking at the Russian line, but I honestly have no idea which of the 4 heavies to go for, and I dont' want so suffer through the IS with it's pretty sad 1200 HP.

Any suggestions as to where to go? I'm open to anything that doesnt' have some real duds in the line and has a good Tier 10 to look forward to.

227, IS-7, WZ5A, Super Conq.

The IS is a decent enough tank with the 100mm.

S conq is not to bad has a pretty good reload time... ALL OF the tank lines have their pros and cons. A lot of them go for the WZ's the 277 and S Conq.

There is a good heavy line?

There used to be great TD lines and now look.

Right now the focus is all on the lites.

I want to be able to have just 1 round for my arty that will nuke 4 squares just for the wheelies.

Quick question, is the Maus line worth it? I feel like the Maus, Mauschen, VK 100.01 (P) and Tiger (P) tend to look pretty powerful, thought i'm not excited that it's not a \heavy line until Tier 7 per se.

That being said, the Tier 5 and 6 mediums look fun and I know the Tier 6 Med kicks [edited]when hull-down.

Also it feels like Wargaming makes sure the Maus is never underpowered? I feel like it get buffs whenever it gets weaker.

Maus is okay depending on the map and how much support it gets from its team. The lack of mobility is the biggest drawback: it is simply far too slow to flex, so it is really outdated in this current mobility-heavy meta where games are often decided in the first two or three minutes. But it is one of the best tanks in the game at what it does, which is holding corners for days and soaking up ridiculous amounts of punishment. In that role it is still unrivaled.

Tiger P is one of the worst tier 7 heavies. It is diabolically bad. But you have to suffer through it to get the Maus. Once you get the VK100.01P, things start looking up, but Tiger P is rough, man. I'd say it's not worth it just because superheavies in general are kinda meh, but Maus isn't a bad tank, and neither are tier 8 and 9 that lead to it.

Pretty much this, as far as 'meta' heavies go. The IS line is a solid choice and gets you to two competent tier 10s. The IS itself is workable with the 100mm D10T, but it really shines once you get the 122mm D25-T spud launcher. Just make sure you trade one-for-one or better and you'll be fine.

I might go Maus then. I actually really enjoyed playing the Superheavy style with the O-I experimental through the O-Ni, so it might be for me. Is the Maus significantly different at tier ten versus how superheavies work at tier 7 for example?
