I've noticed that ever since the last micropatch, enemy tanks will occasionally flash on screen momentarily without having been spotted. I'm sure this is happening to everyone but I don't think Sixth Sense goes off when it happens. I've noticed that I've been blind fired in positions that I wouldn't expect to be blind-fired in since the micropatch.

This is a massive issue. Like, a gamebreaking issue. I'm not entirely sure if it's that the enemy isn't spotted and is momentarily flashing on screen, or if it's some kind of odd delay where they ARE spotted but allies don't register it until it's too late, but either way it's a huge issue.

EDIT:

Replay link for verification.

Can you post a replay? I haven't seen that myself; it would be interesting to see.

Without a replay you can say anything.

Sorry about the disbelief unless evidence is produced.

I don’t have a replay, but can confirm I’ve seen this.

Here's a link to the game where I first noticed it. I kinda threw this match but the point is to see the bug. It happens just after the 11:00 mark.

confirmed...saw this also. somehow the tank "popping up" on minimap ALSO triggers a momentary "icon flash" on your HUD screen, indicating where the tank is spotted...but the "flash" is very fleeting.

think back to that now-banned mod which showed on your HUD screen when a new tank showed at a certain distance, even if it wasnt DIRECTLY seen by you. this would be similar to how that mod worked...may be its even directly tied to the same info that the mod used.  if not,it at least is SIMILAR.

Hi,

didnt replay on WOT, used:

http://wotinspector.com/en/mi/webapp

And the Jad is spoted cause he fires to T54E1 or STA-2 but the dead GW blocked the shot. And you (t54) detected the Jad shot.

The weird thing is why the Jad wasnt been spoted the usual 10 seconds?

Time ago readed about "time spoted", and I remember the camoflage affects to spoted time. But that Jad is only spotted like 0,5 seconds.

Interesting post, I suscribed, if any Moderator can explain or tell to devs what happened there...

So you think it's an issue with spotting time being cut short? That's even worse than I thought it was.

Sounds like a pretty useful bug to me haha, so how does it work, everyone who enters your view range becomes spotted for a second?

Well, I dont know if is worse. To keep good info (I was wrong about "time spoted" of 10 seconds maybe WG change it or I remember bad) is only 5 seconds.

Block Quote

Getting unspotted:

The game will keep you spotted for 5 seconds after starting to fail additional vision checks, which means something is breaking that vision connection, like a building, cliff, or camo/bushes. This mechanic makes for a great way to back up, reload, and wait to get unspotted, then pull back up and fire at the last known position of the enemy tank. People have a bad habit of not moving from their last position, so blind firing can often lead to a hit! There’s also a skill for your Gunner, Designated Target that will keep an enemy tank lit for up to an additional 2 seconds if you’re holding your reticle on them.

Ok, seen the replay on WOT, and this is my idea:

-You detected when his camo is off because he shot to t54E1, but you detected in the second 4.5 after the shot and through a bush, so he is only spotted 0.5s.

I dont think its a bug, just a weird mechanic on game.
