Quick question, is still legal to use it?

Follow up question: How was that ever considered to be legal to use? It clearly provides an advantage over the vanilla client.

It was used by almost everyone back in 2014-2015 when i started playing the game, after i came back i readed the rules (in 2018) and said nothing about it but i want to know your opinion before using it again

IF true it would explain why I always seemed at a disadvantage in tier 9 and 10. I never used that bs, or any cheat.

If it's paint on the outside of the tank (not a "3D" depiction of the inside) then it's legal.

The picture you provided appears to be perfectly legal.

If you have doubts, get your mods from Aslain's, or another WG approved source.

thats the same explanation i had in 2014 about the hitzones, 2D good, 3D bad and Aslain have a modpack with Esther hitzones in it but with WG bots i have a little more caution.

Only 3d hitboxes are illegal

Uh, maybe legal...

But, for the minimal benefit you get is 'maybe' enough?  Is 'Today its legal, tomorrow not so much.' a game you want to play.  Maybe you miss the message during another gap in play, jump all in, and get banned.

This thing looks as legal as the 'spotted' gun direction mod.  Yup, it was legal.  Then,  it was not.  And, folks got banned for using it.

Also, anything that is based on a judgement call - is based on a judgement call.

Why do you need a hitzone mod after 15k battles?

It is still legal. Aslain has two or three versions in his modpak, and he is generally very careful to follow WG's guidelines for legal mods. I used to use those way back in the day, but there really isn't much benefit these days. You are just as well off learning the "general" layout of modules in tanks (they are all very similar) and just using a reticle that indicates armor penetration.

Uhh, it was legal. Used to be. Though I havent seen anyone use a mod like that since like... 2013 lol.

Im not sure if it is still legal however. Even if it is its pretty completely useless

The 2D versions are LEGAL for now. WG has said they may make them illegal when they make their own. 3D ones have always been illegal.

Yeah, not really. I used them for a short time around 2013 when I was new. It really doesn't tell you anything that you shouldn't already know, if you know anything at all about tank layouts (90% of which are all the same).  I mean, if you want to ammo rack someone, you shouldn't need to look at the little symbols skinned onto the tank... I found it distracting, ugly, and just made my gameplay worse so I got rid of it.

It's probably legal, since it's in Aslain's modpack. But even if it wasn't it's pretty useless anyway. There's a lot more rng than actually hitting the marked spots to get critical hits. In some tanks you can shoot the driver's spot all day and he just won't die. And then there's times when a shot to the cupola kills my driver LOL. All you can do is to get Deadeye perk and hope for the best.

That's probably a pretty good question for myself, i don't use one of those hitskins but.. despite having as many battles as i do, since modules (other than tracks) are pretty much invisible i've only ever really known the vague area for some of them (and never bothered to actually spend time to learn the locations unless i happen to learn it through videos here and there) and is basically never something i intentionally try and shoot for (other than obviously tracks or rarely the gun), i just go for the weak points i can see and that's it :hiding:

If it tells you something you should know, but perhaps don't, than it provides an advantage over the vanilla client. That's pretty much the definition of providing an advantage. The usefulness of the information is irreverent.
