So I have this PzJag 1. Love it. Always have. But lately, I've been getting into nothing but Himmelsdorf battles- no fun in a turret-less tank. Feels like the good old days of open field fun in this tank are over.

So it comes down to moving up, or selling and spending time/experience with my other tanks. I have limited time and games so the grind up makes me sigh. How are the German tier 3 and 4 TD's?

Or.

Is there a way I need to approach the Himmelsdorf map with an open TD that I'm missing?

I'm wide open for any experienced suggestions.

Why sell tanks seems foolish you never get your credits back. Garage spaces pop up all over the place. At least you can use an old tank to store your crew members until you need them.

Of course. About the time I feel hopeless, new maps come in. Back in the day, when Province was a thing, this TD was a monster. It could spot and hit from across the map.

Endless joy listening to the "invisible tank" ragers.

I know but I'm feeling a little paranoid like "they" want me to move on. I have tanks from Tier 2 through 7 and they all do a "thing". If they get various maps.

Unfortunately, lower tiers are dominated by fast moving tanks with MG's.

I haven't played a low tier TD in a long time, and I think I own almost all of them.

They just collect dust. Unless of course I feel like getting my butt handed to me.

I can't think of a reason to drive any of them actually.

Outside of just wanting to see how they look in battle.

Mine are even fully crewed, camo'ed, and equipped and I still don't take them out anymore.

OP,

Himmelsdork in the bane of casemate TDs, regardless of tier. It really only gets worse on the map at higher tiers because there is pretty much no place to hide as VRs go up.

That being said, moving up to even a couple of tiers will increase the map rotation improve things a bit for you.

I was quite the noob when I fumbled through the Marder II, but I still have the 38T, it is a great TD. The Hezter is loads of fun. The Tier 5 StuG is awesome. The only German TD that I have played that I didn't like was the Toaster, I've kept all of the German TDs Tier 4 and higher other than it.

It has been a while since I have played them, but my experience:

Marder II - OK, but not that special.

Marder 38T - Good - and almost a keeper

Hetzer - Lots of fun.

StuG III G - Good

Pz Sfl IVc - Well, it looks funny. But so narrow a gun arc and a large paper target? No thanks.
