If so … for how long?

I got frustrated with the game last year and left for 4 months. I am taking another break. This time it is a combination of things, but mostly it has been a recent slide in game outcomes. My long term win rate was climbing steadily for the last year and over the last 1000 battles was approaching 60% on a daily basis, but recently it has been closer to 40%. This morning I played 25 games and had 6 wins. I wasn't that bad when I started the game! Since I can't reconcile these facts and it only makes me madder every time I play, I will just leave for a bit. better that than dreaming up some conspiracy theories.

I took a 4 year break from WoT. 2015 to 2019. I come back, lots of new tanks and tech trees added, gave me some incentive to play.

After the campaign, I'm not playing again cause pub teams are so [edited]en one sided its not even fun to play anymore. RNG still ruins the game, all chat removed, artillery still annoying as [edited]. Game isn't fun overall.

I've taken a couple of breaks over the years.  Last one was probably for well over a year.  If you're not enjoying the game, it's a sensible thing to do.

I took over a year off. If it weren't for the missions I wouldn't even play anymore because of the MM.

Took Feb-June off this year because the first cheiftain campaign went badly for the clan I was in at the time and I was stressed out about it.

small breaks all the time, a couple of weeks... sometimes to play other games/types of games

then there are regular vacations and real life distractions that can keep me away for a week

a couple of years ago I took an "all summer" break, maybe 4-5 months.

but for mental health sake... to much of anything is too much.  take a break.

I took over a month off due to vacation, then a little more time because my computer broke right before I went on vacation and had to get it fixed when I got back.

i have taken extended breaks from lots of games,  in most cases i just get a little burnt out and need a change of pace.  for example if i play a lot of games like wot i may go to a city builder for a a little while, or a different style of shooter,  but usually when i am feeling like playing again i go back and start playing again.  i took a long break from gta5 and with the new dlc i am back splitting time between there and wot.

Quit a few weeks ago.

It was making me miserable and nasty.

Removing Friendly fire was one straw too many.

When the enjoyment goes whats the point!

Found more negatives with the game than positive attributes.

Getting a lot more accomplished in my personal life and regret not doing this years ago when it started to disappoint me.

Took a 6 year break. First new battle was in my trusty IS-4 and was so sad at the outcome :(

2014 took a few months off. i was having an extremely bad flareup of my Essential Tremmors...my hand would start shaking uncontrollably while holding the mouse. i would have to drop the mouse and press my hand on the desk to calm it.that flare up was due to a lot of stress (my jobplace being sold, out of work for a few months, too much coffee)then i THINK it was august 2014 that i began playing again. just recently my ET has flared up again, but not quite to point of drop-mouse,press-hand.

never took long breaks due to game frustration...altho i have taken short several-day-off breaks from time to time after grindy things...or real bad play stretches.

this is my only PRESENT hobby...and now im retired...so i can play more per-day if i want to.(well i also have the "anti-code"  struggle as another hobby)

edit: i still have Essential Tremor problems, but they can be played thru, for the most part.

I just started playing again after a 2 1/2 year break. I've noticed a lot of changes. Some good and some bad. I like arty better now than before. It is still annoying, but at least you don't get 1 shotted driving full speed in a light tank as much anymore.  MM is still just as bad as it's ever been. The missions have gotten much better. Having to activate a code for everything is ridiculous. I'll give WG credit for attempting to introduce new and different game modes (even if they suck like Homefront). The wheeled light tanks have ruined scouting for every other light tank. The quality of players has absolutely plummeted. I've never seen so many clueless red players in every single battle. WG has become way more pay to play than ever before. It looks like the clan scene is pretty much dead other than just having people to talk to while you play. WOT has always had it's few dominant clans that always won everything, but at least the other clans would try to compete. Now, every person I talk to in a lesser than premium clan always says they won't waste their time in any clan wars or campaigns anymore. Taking away chat with the other team killed half the fun of random battles. Taking away team damage is already pissing me off. I never thought I'd see a Russian owned company cater to American Snowflakes like this. I'd say at this rate, another long term break is inevitable.

I've taken short breaks every year, and find the more breaks I take, the less I want to play when I return. Now I watch streamers more than I play. It's fun again.

several multi-month breaks.  combination of work travel and dissatisfaction with map meta and rotation.

work travel basically at an end after a major client hit a huge milestone in June, and the completionist part of me that wants mission tanks had me playing a LOT over this summer.  I'm working the 279(e) missions now, and will play the crap out of frontline more than likely because it's a respite from seeing Abbey, Airfield, Fjords, Mt Pass, Mannerheim, Ruinberg, Paris, and Himmels, but I can see taking another break if the 279(e) arrives in a reasonable time (or if in fact chasing it adds to the frustration)

OP, you may wish to reconsider; for the past month or so, my W/R has gone from bad to complete shinola and I too spoke of uninstaling the game. Again.

But i have been assured, by the many helpful souls populating these wonderful forums, that the game is fine and working as intended, and that I am the problem, not the game. Then they all start rambling into a sort of diatribe about large numbers and stuff. By "all" I really mean "ALL". It's amazing how in unison they all think; it's almost like they're all robots.

(Wait!! Could it be that the forums are full of bots typing to me just like in the game? Horrors!)
