I noticed the game gives you a choice whether to go up in prestige.

Since it doesn't do it automatically, is there any reason to wait to go up in prestige when you hit level 30?

Unless you are going into the max prestige (right now it would be 9) then no, there isn't any reason to wait. You can continue to progress and gain rewards the more you play.

OP if it's not max then rank up.  If you're going into max it resets your reserves and you get one coin, but won't be able to progress till next session.

So only hold of on maxing out if you want to grind FL as you'll keep max FL consumables.

Thanks for the replies. Given how slowly I level, I don't expect to get many 'prestige' levels. Maybe just the one I can get.

So, maybe I'm better off just staying at 30 and getting better rewards, and then cashing out in December, instead of maybe getting prestige 2 or 3, if even that?

It says 'combat reserve levels will be reset to 1'. Time to google.

OK, I guess I wasted all the combat reserves going to 30, as I just reset it to 1. Looked like a better idea to level up and get rewards.

If you are that low on the Prestige and plan on continuing then level it up. You will earn more rewards starting back at level 1. The only time not to Prestige up is when you are at the last stage, with the current week of FL that would be Prestige 9,  once you do that you lose the in-game perks like artillery and air strikes until FL starts up next month.

With a booster running only one or two decent games will get you up past level 5 easily.

From level 1 to 5, I can see that, but by the 20's it slows way down. Sometimes I'd get over half a level, but sometimes under 10%.

Always do it unless you get to the cap for the month. It sounds like that is not the case so you should do it (you stop getting rewards if you don't).
