Tankers,

The following changes were made to the Berlin Map on Supertest:
 

Supertest: the Berlin map


1) The bunker was remade to be more spacious and suited for play—it is now one of the key areas on the map.

2) The area was made more dangerous to prevent quick rear attacks along this line.

3) Passages were added to connect areas on opposite sides of blocks.

3) Additional covers were added, enabling one to move between them along the whole map.

 

The future of these adjustments to the Berlin map depends on results of the testing.

you know what will make this map more fun? add some underground tunnels

Open field with a river in the center.  Buildings on the edges.  Are you sure this isn't Minsk?

Ya this looks a lot like Minsk, probably just as bad game play as well.

 

Can we please stop trying to make historically accurate maps? What we need is more maps like Himmelsdorf, it could be any German city, but it's a well balanced map with dynamic game play.

I have a question.  Is the original map dev. team still with the WG?  The earlier maps, although not "perfectly" balanced, were very enjoyable.  A good portion of those have been pulled.  The reworks that were done, have created static game play.  WG has deep pockets, maybe they should farm out the maps to another company like they did with Frontline.  Just a thought.

people have been asking for this for years.  We want solid, balanced, dynamic maps...instead we got empires boarder, Minsk, studzinki (?) and a few other god aweful maps.  We want WG to focus hard on maps...but they take years for 1 map and then pump out 20 new premiums, typically better than tech tree versions which WG said they'd never do in the beginning and we'll get new ways to be fleeced.

Maps are last on the priorities list in my opinion.
