And here we have it, the product of WG's not giving a [REDACTED] about the Server Side Issues I spoke of earlier.

Started with Frontlines lagging 2-3 times, and then completely crashing, and now the entire server has gone down, the Dev's are getting reeaaalllly lazy with this.

Nothing beats loading a set of boosters and trying to get a game and finding out about this 'problem'.

They moved rack space providers a while back.  Cutting costs seems to have worked out well for them...

I really want them to just give us an option to move to the EU servers.

Wait, so, if I'm understanding this correctly, WG doesn't even provide their own Server Storage, but rather, rent that job out to someone else?

with all the problems we seem to be having, I snuck into WGing HQ and spied upon their devs. This is what I discovered

Almost nobody these days has their own dedicated servers in their own brick and mortar buildings (complete with a T3 in and out of it and the half dozen required on-site employees) for overseas customers/servers.  They all rent rack space at providers that they manage themselves remotely.  The problem is a DDOS attack or other problem can cripple hundreds of companies at once if the provider or that section of the backbone is affected.  This is aside from actual server issues, of course.

In the last few months, lag and latency has skyrocketed on the NA server.  Turn on server side aiming and see it jitter and bobble around like it never used to.    With 15K people on at once, max, the server simply wont be set up to use the same resources or be as robust as the EU or RU servers, since every core and GB of ram allocated costs a significant amount extra.  From a business sense, you simply don't build a server that can handle 100K people on it when only 15K at most are using it.  We see this mostly in Frontline and other high-use events - the whole thing struggles and quality goes downhill fast once it hits 12-15K or more people online.
