Coming out of the Cave and doing just fine is the new map for Frontline called Kraftwerk

Season 8 runs from 16Sep until 23Sep and if you would like more details about the map and mode check it out HERE.

So is this the only map for season 8, or will we see a random mix of the 2 maps?

Well, I know where I'll be hanging out at.  No arty or strikes in a bunker!

Of course some arty guy is gonna come in there and shotgun me, I know it

What happens if you drive your SPG into the tunnel ? Do you get aerial view still?

For a chance to test out the new map, I will try a few battles.

Looking at the new map with the Nuclear Power Plant feature, it is only a matter of time before this game goes completely from the early to mid tank era that built its loyal following to the Modern era that games such as War Thunder have.  One can only hope that the trial mode of original World of Tanks some of us had the pleasure to play and comment on several months ago will become a real option.  If not, then World of Tanks loses its uniqueness and becomes just another war game in the ever increasing world of MMOs.

I'm more interested in seeing how third person view works in the tunnels. They can't seem to make it work in cities so I'm imagining getting too close to the wall and suddenly having a point of view from above and outside of the tunnel...

Nuclear plats have been around since the 50's, still within the scope of the era of the games tanks. It really doesn't bother me or detract from the game unless they go beyond cold war in feel.

Was no one else confused by WG's announcement on when this map was hitting?

Everyone on this thread seems to believe that the map will show up in September.  But the written announcement doesn't seem to actually say that.

Instead there is a bit about "We also have news concerning the next Frontline Episode. The ninth Episode takes place October 16, 04:00 PT | 06:00 CT | 07:00 ET until October 23 at 01:00 PT | 03:00 CT | 04:00 ET".  Then it says that the Kraftwerk map will enter the mix in the "penultimate Episode for the 2019 season".

"Penultimate" means the next to last, or ultimate less one.  The schedule and other timelines in the Frontline Regulations list 11 episodes, with the last one occurring in November.   So the Penultimate episode would be episode 10 in October.

So I came to 2 conclusions after re-reading the announcement a few times:

  1. The Kraftwerk map does NOT drop in September's FL episode, and
  2. WG's writers (or translators?) could have done a better job with that announcement.

The underground bunker is unlike anything we've seen on a map before so that makes it my favorite part, and the lighting looks good!

The forum title clearly says "Season 8 featuring Kraftwerk map" so i'm going to take that as confirmation it's going to be in this episode, not to mention the news page shows the whole map with different points, kind of showing you how to play the map, it would make zero sense if we wouldn't be playing on it until the next episode.

Assuming you, like me are at the maximum prestige level 9, then the September episode will allow us to get to prestige 10 and receive the final reward tank.  So what is the point of another episode in October?

Hopefully it's not this episode, I want to finish my tier 9 without having to learn a new map.

Don't assume I'm like you.  I didn't play for 3 episodes.  Work,  life,  etc. I know,  crazy right?

Not every person in the game has been grinding nonstop. There are absolutely people who can't play World of Tanks with time investments approaching full-time jobs and the final week will be crucial.

I'm not, but for those of us lucky enough to have had the time; what's the point after prestige 10.  Are we done; if so no problem, but it would be nice to have some sort of incentive to continue playing should we chose to do so. Being stuck at 10 lvl 1 would make it tedious to play, and with no rewards that come with each new level it reduces the incentive to play; these will lead to a reduced player base in frontlines. If the new map is being tested in these later episodes; I think WG would want as many players as possible to play the map.

Fair point, I thought you were replying to my OP inquiring about the wrong dates posted for Oct episode. Yes, if you finish in Ep 8, why on earth would you come back for more? I know I wouldn't - I only want the tanks.
