The black prince is useless, stock or not it can't even penetrate a m4e2, its armor is crap, speed crap, top gun crap...you might as well save you some pain by using real money to skip that worthless tank

After having Played the Churches, I think the Church I is OK Overall.....       However, the Church VII and the BP, these two I feel are a Tier Higher than they ought to be....     They really needed to be a Side Shift Grind like the Church GC, and not a Supposed Upgrade....       And I even had nearly all the Modules Unlocked from all the Medium Grinds...

They're not Bad at thier own Tier, Mildly OK at +1, but SEVERLY Lacking, and Far too Expensive, to Operate at +1 and +2....     The Tanks at those Tiers have Far Outpaced them in Armor, let alone Firepower....

But doing that, what would Fill the Gaps at those Tiers...????

I'm on the Fence about Keeping the Church VII, just to have something for Low Tier Platoons...    And except for the Cost, I didn't mind it too much.....     But if you're just Starting playing, and this is a Line you Pick, this is going to be a HORRIBLE Grind once you get Past the Matilda....

I had the Advantage of Knowing I was gonna do it and had 2 Crews Prepping for it already in the A45 and the Caern AX....      The 3 Skill Crew moved Up to the Caern and Conqueror after the Church VII, the Church I Crew at 2 Skills eventually ended up in the Caern when it Previous Crew moved Up....      So, if you're gonna Commit to this Line, and it is Certainly Worth it, Prep ahead with Crews, Credits, and Free XP.....      You do NOT want to Drive anything after the Matilda Stock, they NEED a Good Crew in them, and IF you manage to Survive the Hair Pulling Grind of the Church VII you may want the Extra XP to Skip the BP.....

The Caern isn't Bad at all, and the Conqueror, let's just say that thing has VERY Few Tanks it can't Deal With....     Loving the Conqueror and while looking forward to the S.Cinq, I'm really Reluctant to move the Crew out of this Tank....     lol

The black prince is a paywall, you can either trade several hours of futility or your money, honestly, the overtime at work will be more fun and a lot quicker too.

Nowdays its not that bad. Prem account + xp booster + prem x3 and you can get quite a score for little "work". My effective average xp in Conq was about 3300 xp, yay for multipliers :)

BP for me was "more of the same".  It's pretty good top tier especially against players that dont know how to handle it.  It's pretty bad bottom tier when the armor cant hold up.   The low-alpha DPM style play is not typical for most heavies.  The worst part is the god-awful mobility.  You make a choice where to play, and you dont get to change your mind.  You just hope to get there before it's over.  ike the Church 7 really...

The Caernarvon is a marked departure from this play style, and a breath of fresh air.  The Caern holds up very well in FL.

I will say I was glad to already have all 3 high tier brit heavies before this on track started.  Had a bia crew from the caern AX in the s conq, the crew that ground through the line from the churchill VII in the conq, and started a new crew in the caern.  Played the caern so much for that crew bonus I completed the on track, 2 marked the caern, and aced it all right around the same time.

Now thats the way to grind in civilized way!

But, indeed, it will handicap your progress for on-track. I started with researched Conq, threw FreeXP into gun and tracks, got engine by researching Badger and got blessed with some blueprints.

So I got 219300xp (+1130 overshot), out of which only 43403 counted for on-track. So less than 20% counted, nasty.

Thankfully on-track rewards sucks so we have not lost anything important.

Currently best thing out of ion-track is extra crew xp, 59/67 battles counted for it, so it was decent boost.

You just have to learn to play the brit hvy's right. They perform best hull down if you can find a spot, and as mentioned by one of the other commenters it's always best to have a few prem rounds and HE available. Even the best gun for that... and the next one are a tad under-powered. It does help to know where the weak spots are for what you're shooting at too.

https://youtu.be/9GcNt03myf4

30 Battles in it so far and this is Why it's Quickly becoming a Top 5 in my Garage.....      When you Finally get Past the BP and the Caern, the Grass will most Certainly get Greener....    And that's saying alot too after the Caern.....

For those getting this Far, Good Luck and Enjoy....

i played a little over 20 matches in the Churchill VII, never again. Skipping the BP as well. Turned off Accelerated crew training on my Caernarvon AX, just going to free XP to the T8

The fully researched Caernarvon at Tier VIII makes one forget the pain of the BP grind. That is a really really nice tank.:)

Just finished this grind last night and bought the Super Conqueror. I'll take it out on its maiden voyage tonight in clan wars.

The only worse grind is the Cz line.

Along with the AT Line, Chinese Lights, the Borsig, and the French Heavies.....      You're not making me Feel real Good about my Choices so far....     lol

In brits the trick is to grind MT, HT and 2xTD lines at same time.

For example, to get top engine on Conq I researched Conway which unlocked Tortoise top gun for free so I could quickly research Badger which gave me Conq/Cent/Conway engine for free :]

Slowchills are not explicitly bad, its more of unpleasant and boring. Especially if you have three of them in a row...

Personally I did not enjoy Caern, because I got spoiled by its premium clone which is simply better, but it is viable FL tank. And Conqs are just sweet!

I think my fully upgraded conqueror may be changing the tide. Now I'm matched up with a M103, T10, and Type 5 and seem to have a better chance especially in tier 10 matches. Lets see if I can repeat last nights performance again. Have not been paired with a 257 yet but it will happen.

If I can keep a 2000 win 8, the wins will come eventually with a smaller mixture of losses. Im almost thinking tier 9 is my sweet spot.

What a difference a tank makes.

And notice how 1100xp is still only 2nd class :]

It tells a lot on how well tank performs.

And this was the last Game before Work this AM....       The Tanks is Very Good, and well worth the Abuse of the Church VII for those that Can't Free XP thru it OR the BP.....

http://wotreplays.eu...wolfe-conqueror

Even the T-10 knew he was in Trouble toward the End Raising his Gun to Cover his Commander....       I didn't even Realize I'd accidently Switched to HESH when I was trying to repair Tracks....

Those of you on the Church VII and BP right now have a lot to Look Forward to....       1 Week Left, Hang in there....     And don't Sell the Caern, Frontline is on the Horizon as well and a New Map...     And Kraftwerk will have a Ton of good Places to give Red all the Turret they can Stand....
