prelude: i HAVE the T54 ltwt at tier 0 already, but that is due to the Great Light Tank Mutation Patch. i had used exp to unlock T54ltwt as a tier 8, and the Mutation made it a 9. however i have only played it a few times, with improper crew.

however,i made my FIRST actual tier 9 buy. i have been on the slow grind up the US med line. i finallly got close enough in exp in the pershing to just use a little free exp to unlock the patton.. i already had the discount from WAY back (40%). so i have an actually-bought tier 9 that was NEVER a tier 8.all equipped and camo'd.

now i am torn...i really am bad at high tiers, but i know i have to play the tank to make it EXIST in my game records.i am not ready to transfer pershing crew without crew retraining discount, but i may just run the patton ONCE with the pershing crew to "fix" it into my game client. the pershing crew is at 88% on fifth skill.sometime this weekend i will do it!

my pershing/futurepatton crew is my Wardaddy Fury crew. nice career so far!

edit: Wardaddy and crew have been thru Fury,t20,pershing up to now. will move present t20 crew to pershing and form up a replacement t20 crew. that crew retraining discount would be really handy...(hint hint)

It's a good tank. Was one of my favorites. Great hill shooter. The hard part of tier 10 games is learning enough to actually win them. You think you know the game until you start grinding 9's. Then your stats show you the truth that tier ten games are kicking your tail. At this point is when you decide if you are going to actually learn to get better or not.

Dude? Really? You've been playing since 2013, almost 25k battles and never bought a tier 9? I thought I was being patient and slow by taking a year and then ened up grinding it (t30) so fast I had a t10 I wasn't even going for lol.

Did you NEVER in all this time want a t10 tank?

Yeah, I know I can look you up somewhere and know about every tank battle you've ever had but I am WAY to lazy for all that work on every poster on the forums lol. It's easier and more fun just to ax someone a question.

For the Patton, why don't you just start up another US medium crew and train them in your Fury and Ram II.  Use crew boosters and it will go fast.

well the pershing crew is 88% on fifth skill...i dont want to lose any crew exp. so i will wait for crew retraining discount. i have enough extra US med crew in barracks to make a replacement med crew...but again i will wait for discount...they are on 2+ skills.eventually they will go in t20...t20 will go in pershing...pershing will go in patton. too much crew exp to just throw away. im gold rich, creds poor and free exp is saved for tanks only.im planning on only using gold in discounts/% sales. my wallet is closed for a while...for reasons... i want this hoard of gold to stretch as far as possible.

Congrats, DO not run anything over tier 7 without a proper crew and eq.

We are going to have to wait until ThanksGiving for a crew Training/Retraining special

This weekend is a 1.5X per win weekend. Just move the crew to the tank for credits to get to 90% and then put them in the Ram2 for about 15 games until they get to 100%. No biggie at all.

If you retrain the Pershing crew to the Patton at 90% for silver (I think it's officially the "major qualification? ", it's not all that much XP to get back to 100%. You don't lose anything off your 5 crew skills, other than a handful of game's worth of progression. I moved high crew-skill crews around my French tanks like this fairly regularly.

Regarding the Patton, if you're careful you can do fairly well with the 90mm while you're grinding out the big gun. Not to say you should ever keep the 90 if you have the 105, but it's not a train wreck like the sad folks that run the 76mm in the T29 because they skipped the M6.

Man, I bet you'd hate to get me on your team when I'm running an Obj 257 with a 75% no skill crew

I grinded tier 9 Patton before the turret buff, and it was ok... Gun is kinda lacking base pen and accuracy at long range, but the snipping on the move is ridiculous.

But you need your crew trained for sure. Just hold em in Pershing... There will be some crew retraining discount, soon TM... I mean there's gotta be!!! Halloween is near, Thanksgiving always offer some discount on something and Christmas is just a few months away. I would wait for a discount, unless you need ASAP a tier 10 tank. I'm not a fan of paying full price.

I know the mistake I made coming up the American line was changing too many crews at once.

At one point, I was grinding 3 crews when I started out with 3 already at 100%.  Bought a new tank and just went crew swap crazy. My crews however did not have 4-5 skills as well. Just a couple.

After I made the changes, I realized I could have only moved 1 crew and re-train them and the rest would have stayed intact.

Just my 2 cents.

Congrats by the way.

the crew thing is a bit complicated because i plan on keeping t20,pershing and patton at the same time. and the US med line is not the only line that i have awaiting multiple uptiering of crews. i have LOTS of guys waiting for promotions!

I don't know what your major malfunction with the crew exp is but just bump the Pershing crew up to the M46 and get rolling, even at a credit reset to 90% with reserves, weekend, and premium tanks you can get them back  to 100% before you even know it. I believe it can potentially be done is like 10 battles.

The new 2 mill crew books are really good at giving fresh crews and good jump to 1.5 skills if you can get them to 100%. I recently put a fresh crew (left over 100% crews from premium tank buys) in the VK 20 (tier 4) and bought the book not knowing how effective was ground them to 100% and popped the book and the fully finished their first skill and up to 50% on the second.
