Why not a montecarlo code? Something very very roughly like this ... but hopefully I get the idea across??? ....

Goto: WG Std Choose players randomly;

For n = 1 to 5 {

While Players {

Randomly Switch Green and Red;

GreenScore = sum(players green skill);

RedScore = sum(players red skill);

Score[n] = GreenScore - RedScore;

}

}

Choose Team[Score[min]};

Goto: Battle;

It takes the random team selections, and uses maybe 5 nanoseconds to optimize the random teams.
