Stupid players is what makes this game toxic. So far this morning and afternoon I have played 10 battles. Of which I was on the winning side 3 times! Yes I use xvm and aside from 1 or 2 battles the results were as predicted. I saw lemming trains where 90% of the team went one way and lost. I had a few games where I died in the first 3 minutes and yet came out in the top 4 in damage. Playing a STA-1 no less. I give it my all every game and I watch others who don't give a damn bring me loss after loss and it over time pisses me off! And what will WG do about it? Not a damn thing! People with personal ratings of 2-3k playing OP premium tanks doing less than 500 damage. People with absolutely no comprehension of how to play, yet there they are in their $50 premium tank  ruining my play.

Yet after all that I am the one that people say is the problem with this game. I am the "toxic" player! Well if I am toxic, then a great number of you people are the ones who made me that way. A pox on all people who play for "fun"!

No one made you toxic.  That's all on your choices and your unrealistic expectations in a free to play game.

Poor management and "support" are the biggest culprits.  People will adjust when the rules are enforced evenly and fairly.  When the rules aren't enforced, then people act like the morons you see every day, and almost every battle, that you see here.

I totally agree, some games would last much longer ( itd be easier to do dmg/complete missions), if there was skill based MM but then ques would get longer and less people would want to play,

Why does playing for fun equate to being bad at the game? I only play video games for fun. If I promise to stop having fun will you remove the pox?

The more 45% and lower that floods the server the worse it gets, been getting people with 40% win rates in tier 8-10 battles for several days this week and pretty much had it.

russian bias, fantasy obj w/e the fraks, no heat spam rebalance, rigging, seemingly account based RNG all make it toxic

It's a free to play, which is already the bottom of the barrel in terms of players/target audience.  Boomers and angsty pre-teens, each bring a ton of toxicity and idiocy to the pile.

Player base ain't what it use to be.  That's for sure.  If you get a loss, switch tanks.  If you get another loss, change servers.  After a third loss in a row, shut the game off or play FL.  Win or lose on that, doesn't really matter.

I typically shut it down after two in a row now.

There is generally not a lot of forum hugs for the guy who is upset about bad players ruining his matches, despite it being a thing everyone experiences.  I get you, though, and ive had my share of rage flipouts because of this.  Turning chat off is helpful to prevent you from going berzerk.  You cant pick your teammates though, and it does often suck.

Nor should there be. Because it's a thing that everyone experiences.

what rules do you feel they do not enforce or enforce fairly again?

as for poor support usuaslly it depends on what you are trying to get them to do for you

First part is spot on!

Second part ranks with the folks who think its rigged.

I have never seen stupidity an toxicity have a demographic profile.

Just platoon, that way its at least 3v27 instead of the usual 1v29.

Any of the rules.  They make crap up as they go.  They permit spamming constantly.  Had WG actually enforced the rules and punished people acting like [edited]from the start, the people would learn that if they wanted to continue to play the game, they can't act like a [edited].  Instead, the player base knows it's highly unlikely that any incident will be sanctioned, and even if it is the sanction is likely no more than a slap on the wrist.

I wonder if it would help with random battles being 10v10?  Would be easier to pull out a W if you have to do most of the work.

Have you never noticed the really bad players always say they just play for "fun"? I suppose they also would like getting kicked in the testicles for "fun"!

ETA: I think that they say they are playing for fun to compensate for not caring enough  to even really try. Maybe it's this generation? But when I was growing up you played games to win. If you lost you were a loser and no one wanted to be a POS loser!

There's toxic people everywhere in life. Just take a drive down a highway during rush hour. Why would WOT be any different?
