I am quite confident that every player is aware of the hidden stats and what some of them are. No person joined the game and didn't push W and not notice that the reticule got larger.

Accuracy while moving the hull penalty

Accuracy while moving the turret penalty

Terrain resistance

Etc...

What is NOT known to most players is the extent and exact numbers that the stats use. Which would be helpful to know, but might not be as well understood.

An example: Hull traverse movement penalty = 4.61

Not very helpful, doesn't tell you how that stat is applied. Is it x4.61, 4.612, +4.61, cos(4.61), or -4.61?

Another example would be the terrain resistance, I had no idea what a good or bad rating in terrain resistance was. Was 1.05 the best or the worst? What is the scale? 1-100? 0-1? -10-5? (Please don't answer that)

The hidden stats would need a detailed explanation and quite possibly their own tab in the Garage or an addition menu on the vehicle dynamics. A detailed explanation or scale, though both would be preferable, of each of the additional dynamics would be necessary.

Wot.gg gives hidden stat values including terrain resistances and dispersion on the move, etc...

And I'm sure there are other sources.

It's called the "treecutter" stat and there are places you can look it up but I don't know off the top of my head where.

29612 trees knocked down vs 32795 battles

I'm bitterly disappointed as I go out of my way to knock them over. I need to up my forest devastation game.

I don't like knocking stuff down and calling attention to my presence.  I am an owl as well, so, trees standing up are kind of my thing.  Remember, there are nests in those trees and you could be harming the virtual environment by displacing all those pixel birds to other maps.

I used to be that way, about not knocking down trees, but there are a number of reasons why it can help.  Added concealment, or when I'm in an SPG, purposely attracting attention so my opposite number will fire and waste a shot at that location.   Also knocking down trees early in the match when I'm in an SPG or TD so I DON'T knock them down at a critical moment where it'll attract attention when I'm not ready for it.

Which is why my tree number is so low.  I only knock them down on occasion on accident.  I have been known to 'build a nest' of conifers to provide better coverage and to knock down big oaks together to provide that as well.  The rest of them, it was an accident during the rush of shooting, running, dodging and trying to 'go dark.'

Other than that, I see no need to call attention to my self for any Red SPG to take note.

And I play SPGs a LOT, due to my Craptop ™ computer.  I get 11 fps or so and around 170 -- 300 ping on lowest quality SD settings.  I need to avoid calling attention to myself.  I'm slow enough and crippled in terms of information flow that I need all the advantages I can get.  :)

Lol, now that's some stats.

16350 battles - trees cut: 40294

If you can't find a bush, make one! :bush:

As for the original suggestion, I agree. We shouldn't have to go to 3rd party sites to know all the stats of a vehicle. Having the armor profile displayed in the game is also needed.

But then the that would make it too obvious that most stats are meaningless or misleading.

Even the stats on display don't always mean what they seem to mean.

For example Aim Time is the time it takes for the aiming circle to shrink by 60%. The ingame tooltip has that info, but most people don't take the time to read all the tooltips.
