I am considering buying one or both of these tanks and I am confused by the crew descriptions.

1) I dug around and found that when the Primo Victoria was first sold, it was advertised to have "Band of Brothers" perk. Apparently this term is interchangeable with "Brothers in Arms" (BIA). I bought one at initial release and it came with a crew that should more accurately be labeled as  "Zero Skill BIA/Brothers in Arms". This means that the crew member has 105,030 total experience points, has BIA that cannot be retrained and has enough experience to select another complete skill at 100 percent. Now the Primo Victoria is advertised as having a "BIA Crew". Is this a "Zero Skill BIA" crew (Option 1) or is it a Crew with 105,030 total experience points and the first skill selected is BIA (Option 2)?

A "Zero Skill BIA" Crew (Option 1) would be more valuable.

2) The TL-1 LPC crew is described as -

"100% Offspring Crew with FREE Band of Brothers Perk and EXP for 1 Skill/Perks"

This sounds to me like this is not a "Zero Skill BIA" crew, but one that has enough experience points for 2 skills, the first of which has been elected as BIA, but could be retrained.

Can anyone who has purchased either/both of these tanks clear up just what kind of crew they are coming with now?

Thanks

They're both zero skill BIA crew. The TL crew has one skills worth of XP as well, can't remember if the PV's crew has the extra XP or not, the initial release might have

EDIT, I think the PV crew comes with the 1st skills worth of XP since I have them in my Emil I which I've never played and they are 96% into their 3rd skill so I likely put a skill book on them.

Both are zero first skill BIA crews.  The US crew comes with enough xp to fill out the second skill.

Go to this article/page which clarifies both crews.  Afaik this is the only page that states both clearly, including the prem shop descriptions

This has come up before: the language is very squishy because the sales people are all about the color and not the content.

Thanks to all that answered. The article referenced appears to answer another question I had. I was considering buying 2 TL-1’s to get an extra set of crew, but he article says 1 per account.

I do wish WG would at least be consistent with its crew descriptions,

Cheers

THIS and tbh about half surprised the US crew was detailed at all.  The Primo crew is mentioned a few times.  Afaik the linked page is the only one that clarifies it for the US one.

Why would you retrain BIA? :sceptic:

I would not, but it is a way to differentiate a crew that is a “zero skill BIA” and one that has their first skill already selected as BIA.

you can get around this by buying the tank, removing the crew, selling it/deleting it, and then buying it again.
