He had a great career, and was at the very top of the rock music industry for a period of time. He then had a long and creative second half of his career as well, doing numerous projects and concerts for decades.

I remember listening to "Toad" on the Wheels of Fire record over and over in 10th grade, when it was new. I had never heard drumming like that before. RIP Mr Baker.

I was lucky enough to be at this concert, not exactly sure which day this was, but during this time I was able to see them live. I think they were there for 3 or 4 days, I was fortunate to get tickets and see them, since I was not even a teenager when they first formed. 

 

He was one of my inspirations in my youth. Helped me decide that banging on a kit could help me pick up chicks, then actually learning what I was doing could bring me a great amount of joy doing this and help me pave my way to the future. Just a great inspiration to me. R.I.P. Mr. Baker. A very sad time for me.
