Guys, don't feel bad, be glad.

I'm as US, wounded, combat, veteran with lots of metals for doing a good job killing "bad" guys as one can be. (note TC icon).

As i cited in early post: i jumped thru all WofT's hoops, got "certified", & ... GOT NOTHING

Absolutely NOTHING after reveling WAY too much personal info on my DD214 (US' record of military service).  As soon as i realized this was just another WofT "bait-&-bail" schemes, i went & un-joined this ID.me

I long ago established an account with the REAL US Defense Dept's sites. :honoring:

Again, don't feel left out or shorted mates; U have been saved the time-waste & exposure of YOUR PERSONAL information.

OK, a semi-apology to WofT. :sceptic:

Seems this was a "bait-&-wait scheme".  Good ol' WofT didn't make it clear there was some sort of FUTURE date this "Salute" would actually be awarded. Tho several "honorees" wrote on here they'v received stuff.

Or perhaps WofT does respond & produce what they so loudly proclaim if one [edited]& embarrasses/harasses them  loud & long enuf... they actually DO AS PROMISED.

I jumped thru all their hoops AGAIN & finally got my rewards & continue to do so in-game. :medal:   So, thanks WofT.

But pls don't treat us like we are back in the service by making us "Hurry up & wait."

ID.me works. I used USAA to verify myself and my kids.  It was very specific on spelling and birthdates and I had to retry a couple of times with each kids email each time.

Eventually everybody got verified.

Have id.me and wot open in the SAME browser. Have your wot page user settings logged into.

LINK id.me as if you would twitch on that account settings right side.

Start the game. May take a day. Mine took a few minutes. Restarted and it was gifted. Each kid got a thunderbolt, camo and a warship.

If it does not work, go to account settings and Unlink I'd.me as if it was twitch. And, while logged into I'd.me, reconnect the link.

A few steps even an 11B can figure out.

I'm going to leave this here as an Active-Duty CAF member - ID.me supports all forms of Canadian Military ID. I know this, I have bought stuff using my mil ID verified by them online.

Why us Canadian members aren't allowed in? We work side by side every year.

WG is just too lazy to find ways to authenticate veterans from other countries, all these vet things on NA  server have always been US only - WoT staff just do not care enough to bother, in Canada there are a number of ways to confirm veteran status, but WG will never look for them as it is too much work and they do not care about non US

You guys should just read the thread and realize that Canadians arent being excluded as they can use ID.me as well.  Not only that, but they've said they are just starting with the easiest one and will include other verification options in the future.  Worst case just ask one of the guys at North Bay, Winnipeg, or Cheyenne Mountain if you can borrow their .mil email.

When I try to buy one of the special offer bundles it says "item is not available to you". Are they not available anymore?

From what I heard from the Chieftain, The bundles will be a one time thing and will be available indefinitely, unless there are changes to the amendments. Also, reboot your game to see if the items will become available and/or create a ticket if you can not get what you want.  Hope this helps.

I'm curious if this will be opened up to Veterans and Military Personnel for other countries?

I currently serve in the Canadian Armed Forces is why I ask.

Cheers

Thank you for raising this question. I have written the same type of message to wargaming support team. Their answer was to go on the forum and post, that way it will help to get the attention to the case.

I am a US citizen, but served in another country's military. Since I am using NA server, I am not able to use perks in my home country. Living in the US, cannot use perks here either. It is unfair at least.

You would think that only US military veterans are the only ones that should be honoured in the NA server region.  There are many other veterans in North America that served and died in WWI, WWII, Korea, and other UN police actions as well. They are called Canadian Veterans.  Canadians served with US  military in the first special forces regiment in WW II it was called the Devils Brigade if you don't believe this look it up.  How about some recognition for our Canadian veterans for a change.

NA reps have stated several times right here on the forum that WG intends to do so.

(nvm - reading-thru, I see you're already covered)

As for me, I remember Canadian sacrifice at many places, like the Scheldt Estuary, October-November, 1944

Learned about little things like that from many years of ASL play, and read-on from there.

And the Devil's Brigade inspired one of my favorite movies

To be fair about how all this rankles you chaps - and always has - You guys don't write enough about it, or export those histories much.

Work-up a list - I want to read them
