saw this on facebook.

The general idea behind the redesign is to reduce the map's excessive linearity in those locations where it can provide an additional effect to gameplay variety.

well that cant be true...that would mean opening up from corridors...

later i see...

all the shrubbery has been removed from the map, there is nothing but trees now. Only felled trees can be used for concealment now.

huh!

this Pearl River will be almost nothing like Pearl River of Dond Memories.

link if interested....a bunch more words...im sure i missed much stuff..

And as usual, Wargaming makes things WORSE with their "revisions"...

The last Update of Pearl River was perfect for the center area, however, the update like 2 before, the outer edges were better, because there were places for TD's, non-armored etc. for the battle.

The last couple of updates made the map suck for everyone except pretty much heavy's.  This new Pearl River is likely going to suck, just like they made the Center of Erlenburg better, but ruined the East and West which were actually perfect as they were.

They may as well make a flat map with a tree and house on each side at this point.

I was happy to hear Pearl River was coming back, not so much now.

I retired from programming (coder, 14 languages) after 42 years.   If any of my associates or subordinates had put out this kind of crap quality of work, they would have been terminated immediately.

I wish they would leave them as they were and just upgrade the graphics, they ruined maps otherwise.
