This may be a noob question to ask, but, I venture that I can get over myself to ask it anyway...

I have some old replays I want to watch. But when I launch them the screen goes blank after loading. Some more newer replays, yet still old, display an "error" message of sorts that reads that the version of WOT is incompatible with the one in the replay, and when I select to play anyway the client closes. Is this fixable? I know it must be since I've downloaded and played others' replays from a while back. But I just have no idea what to do myself. Thanks for reading and replying if you do.

You could download an older, outdated version of the client to watch replays. You would need something close to if not the exact client version that corresponds to said replay you are trying to watch. Its kind of a hassle, but once you find the one you need it should all work out.

Here is a (all be it, old) thread of how to get older versions of the game; http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/398461-how-to-watch-replays-old-new/

For ease of access, here is a direct link to the site to download the older versions of wot; http://wot.djgappa.com/

There was a recent thread asking WG to think about making a replay system, going through the thread should give you some idea of why they don't work.  http://forum.worldof...-replay-system/
