I did not know this could happen, although i never really thought about it. Just had this game, both of us had same number of kills and same damage, so we both got High Caliber rewards. Kind of cool. Just thought I'd share

Seem like you have seen something rare.. cause usually the XP is a tie breaker isn't it? And with different XP for damage on different tier.. I wouldn't expect to see this again soon.

Plus one.  Btw they took the xp tie breaker out of it sometime back.  Maybe when they re-worked some of the other awards?

XP has nothing to do with a "High Caliber" seeing how that award is buy damage dealt and not by the XP.

Block Quote

 High calibre - Awarded to players who dealt the highest amount of damage during the battle. The damage dealt should be at least 20% of enemy team tanks' HP sum, and greater than 1000 points. To receive this award, the player must not hit any allies by direct shot. If two or more players deal an equal amount of damage, and also qualify for High calibre, the achievement is granted to whichever player earned more EXP.

Wiki isn't reliable BUT if you go to the WoT web-page on "Achievements" it does give the definition and for both players to get the award is a mess-up.
