Commanders!

Half of autumn is over, but for the M18 (90), an American Tier VII tank destroyer, everything is just about to begin. Let’s see whether it has chances to succeed in Supertest!

In a nutshell, it’s a Hellcat but moved to Tier VII. It’s 90mm gun causes 240 points of damage on average. A standard AP shells penetrates 167 mm of enemy armor, while a special APCR goes further and will make a dent in the opposing vehicle 203 mm deep. The dispersion and aiming time are quite satisfying and make 0.35 at 100 m and 1.7, respectively. As for the view range it is 370 m.

Let’s touch upon its survivability, because regardless of how good you are at firing, what matters is whether you are good at surviving or not. So to keep your 800 hit points intact, you will have to excel at the art of positioning as, let’s face it, the vehicle has cardboard-thick armor reaching up to 12 mm in the hull and up to 127 mm in the turret. However, the TD’s mobility makes up for its lame armor easily, with a max speed reaching 72 km/h and a power-to-weight ratio of 23.5 hp/t.

Summing up, the М18 (90) provides for a familiar gameplay typical of a dynamic TD that’s at its best when used in the ambush role. To make the best of this American, take the most advantageous position (the TD can do it quickly) and then keep adapting yourself to the situation and follow the allies while supporting them at a distance.

So it's the old Hellcat but moved up to tier 7?

You know the standard Hellcat gold pens for over 240?

Unless the soft stats are really great, you're better off staying at tier 6.

Same top speed, 0.8 hp/t more specific power, same armor, gun that has only 7mm extra pen, but loses 40mm of pen on premium ammo. But hey, 0.5 sec faster reload (if they didn't omit the digits pass the decimal) and it can reverse faster! And the lowest hp a tier 7 TD can have.

I'll stick with my M56 Scorpion. The gun handling is bad, but at least it pens what it hits.

yes but it's called dumbing down and it's not being done on a russian td.  No wonder there.

Does this mean the Tech Tree version will no longer have the 90mm?

Unless this becomes a premium, yes, that's most likely what is going to happen.

Why is it at tier 7 if it's basically an elite tech tree Hellcat with a slightly worse gun?

Is the regular Hellcat being removed from tier 6? If so, what's going to take its place? What's going to happen to the T25/2?

I don't understand the point of this tank being in the game.  I would have thought the Jackson with the Sherman hull would have been the logical Tier VII TD.

That actually existed. This version of the Hellcat? No. I don't get it.

If it's a tech tree change, maybe they'll have the Hellcat with the historical 76mm at tier 6 and buff it's forward and reverse speed to historical levels, and have this at tier 7...

What is it's ground resistance?  Reverse on the Hellcat is like pushing a brick through a straw (Since they "fixed" it).

Should release a historical Hellcat with the 76 for tier 5.

I don't get it. What's the point of this tank? It has only slight differences to the tech tree Hellcat, but it's a tier higher. Why would I buy this? Why would anyone play this?

Anyone have the pre-nerf Hellcat stats (i believe it was patch 9.1)....especially turret traverse and back up.

You guys should just drop this and replace it with M36B1/M36B2

This tank is utterly pointless premium. This is a case that WG not checking their tech tree again just like when they tried to add another Black Prince.

Look.  This would be fine if we can a 90 mm hellkitty at tier 7 in the tech tree (With full pen!)

and you restore the tier 6 version to prenerf levels.  But your not going to do that.  We know

Minsk want to make this a premium and I'm betting even russians are going in a fit over this.

GIVE US TECH TREE TIER 7 90MM HELLKITTY AND UNERF THE TIER 6 WHILE

REMOVING IT'S 90 MM.  STAT!
