If you havne't noticed, the test server is going to test nerfing HE rounds.

The article about the potential changes are on the WoT news page.

This potential change sucks balls. So, let's start a list of tanks that get screwed by the change.

 

Sherman w/105mm

Jumbo Sherman w/105mm

Kv-2 w/152mm

PZ IV w/10.5 cm

 

so what other tanks could get screwed by the change? fill it in!

Oh no! You wont be able to spam HE for high damage numbers anymore... you'll actually have to use proper anti-tank cannons...

If they do this, then they need to remove the KV-2 from the game completely.  I can't wait to get a refund for the KV2R package that I bought.  I can use that gold for something else.

The T49 will kinda just become mediocre.  No more silly.  No more putting the fear of Serb into scout tanks.   Just a 90.  Yay?  I dunno.   The 90 is the more consistent gun, but it's not why one T49s.

 

Suffice to say, a gutting of the T49 would see it never leaving the garage and definitely some shorter sessions as there's no real replacement to the zanny style of play it has that puts a massive smile on my face. 

 

I'll spam it until this patch hits, then it'll forever be retired.  A 90mm T49 is a sad T49.  Just play the RU if you want 90 action.

So what gun do you use on the ISU-152? KV-2? M4A1? T49? etc....

I was grinding towards the Bulldog when it still had its auto loader ... then it got its gun taken away just as soon as I unlocked the bulldog. Played a few games in it and hated it. Just last week I put a crew back into the Bulldog to start grinding to the T49 and now this. Guess I have bad luck with that line lol

The Italian P26/40 - the penetration on its HE shells really made that tank shine.

The fact is, large caliber HE shells will not be viable after the nerf.

I'm going to try to allocate some time for testing that myself.  In battles with lots of HTs, I've often been disappointed with existing HE shell tanks.  I want to see for myself whether several shots always leaking through for a little damage makes up for sometimes getting a big hit after a string of tracks-only shots.
