I built my own desk and decided to just screw in a door stopper to one of the legs under the desk to hold my headset.  It keeps it within reach and also doesn't take up desk space.  However, I've seen a few different ideas for DIY headphone stands.  I came across these on YouTube recently in my suggested videos.

I played with a 40" tv until last month when I replaced it with a 32" curved screen 165 hertz monitor. Honestly I liked the tv better but I was afraid it was doing harm to my old eyes. Thats a great idea on the headphones.

i placed it at the wall with the zig-zag wall stand... and my table is wide enough, around 1.5m.. so there's at least 1.5m distance from the screen and me.. works good and if i want to watch the tv from the distance i just pull the tv closer with the stand itself and it's great...

That doesn't work well with all desks or all headsets.
